England v Afghanistan

The Poms are playing with real confidence in the shortest format of the game and they've developed from one of the most boring teams in T20 cricket to a team who are capable of blowing away rivals. Their last game was incredible, nobody gave them a chance of chasing such a target, but they ended up doing it quite comfortably.

They face a much easier opponent in Afghanistan tonight, a team who are yet to beat a major nation. In days gone by I would predict the emerging nations’ spinners to cause England problems, however the days of the Poms being dogged by spin looks behind us. Afghanistan's strength is in their spinners, they’re the only players in the team who wouldn't look out of place in a bigger nation’s side. However, even though they posted a decent total in their last outing they lack depth in their batting, while their fielding has been diabolical.

The Poms will blow Afghanistan away today, they've got too many explosive batsman to be worried by a couple of tricky spinners. It's a short price $1.13, but one well worth sticking in a multi.

Joe Root was simply incredible against South Africa, the young lad is an immense talent and has such a bright future ahead of him. He can score in any conditions, against any bowler and at any rate. Root is a lot more controlled with the bat and more dependable than others you can back in the Top Scorer-market, therefore I'm getting on him to do so today at $6.

England’s opening batsman have changed massively in the last few years, long gone are the days of Cook and Strauss opening in T20 cricket, they now have explosive young talent at the top of the order. Roy is a brutal player, against South Africa he wacked 43 from just 16 balls. We’re backing him to win the race to 10 runs out of the openers at $1.85.

England - 1pt @ 1.13
Joe Root - 1pt @ 6.00
Jason Roy - 1pt @ 1.85
