West Indies v England

I have to admit when Oddschecker told me their tip pre-comp was the West Indies, I had a good laugh at them. However, the boys from the Caribbean have proved me wrong, we all knew how dangerous they could be if Gayle turned up to the World Cup. Yet the big man has only had one good game, and they still find themselves in the final. I’ve been really impressed how well rounded their squad actually is, they’ve got explosive and steady batsman as well as a great mix of seam and spin.

As mentioned, Gayle has only had one noteworthy contribution in the 2016 cup, unfortunately for England, it was against them. He destroyed their bowling attack in the early stages of the competition. The pommie bowlers will have this in the back of their mind, and even more importantly, Gayle will knows he has the better of them. England’s spinners have been pretty disappointing during the competition, Rashid impressed everyone in the Big Bash but looks a shadow of that player. The Windies spinners have been the complete opposite, Badree and Benn have bowled crucial overs at a very low economy.

West Indies will win this one, as I’ve mentioned before, England are a dangerous team but they’re a young bunch with limited experience on the big stage. They’ll struggle against the West Indian spinners bowling so many early overs. Bravo and Russell are an unbelievable pair to finish an innings, the poms will battle to get them away at the back-end. Anything could happen when the West Indies bat, they’ve got enough fire power to beat anyone. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Gayle fire again! I hope to see a better innings from Samuels this week, he was embarrassing against India, very weak cricket.

Don't miss out on a boosted $6 for the West Indies to win and Chris Gayle to top score for his team.

Alex Hales has been England’s forgotten man, he’s had three starts without going on but has been reliable to get England off to a decent start. With so much hype surrounding Root, Butler and Roy the Nottinghamshire man has been priced up at $4.8 to top score for the Poms. Well worth backing!
