The Hyundai Tournament is sure to be a cracker this week as it welcomes an array of the world’s top golfing talent.
With this being said, our best bet for the Hyundai is Irishman Graeme McDowell as his game is sure to suit the seaside course. He looks a fresh, invigorated G-Mac with and has spoken of a desire to break back into the Top 50 in the world. He won at El Cameleon at the end of last season and was 3rd in the tournament the week after; He’s clearly in the right mind set. It’s important to remember that McDowell has previous course form (after finishing 3rd here in 2011) and that could be key, and we rate him as a top bet as long as the wind doesn’t make the course too much of a length test. Scrambling could be all important & that’s one of G-Mac’s great qualities when on his game, and he’ll need those skills this week to attack a number of Par 4’s.
The price of $25 could be a touch risky, but it stands out as the clear value bet in the Hyundai.
We were hugely taken by the way in which he finished off the RSM and showed a great ability to putt under pressure. We think he’ll be a serious competitor come the business end of the tournament despite his lack of course experience.
