Kyneton R1 No.4 – PODIUM BOUND
Liked this geldings debut here two weeks back, was beaten for early toe but managed to make good ground late – flattened out his last 200m and looked good doing so. Race was dominated by on-pacers so against the pattern always a positive. Draws in again and steps to 1400m, pace looks ok from out wide. Think he can again come home over the top of them with a hint of luck. Much better for the debut.

Kyneton R6 No.6 – JOADJA
She is one seriously tough mare to catch but think today could be her chance to break through. Steps to the trip for the first time and gets back on top of the ground (major ticks) for this, Rawiller can be tractable from the gate, would like him to be a touch more positive early (small field/lacks pace) as recently she’s be asked to do quite a lot. Can snare the right run and be strong through the line. Gets in well relative weights.

Rockhampton R4 No.5 – STRAIGHT GOLD
Gets in ridiculously well at set-weights considering a massive 10 points advantage on nearest rival. Has been competitive in much better races than this of late (closed well despite reading 6th in on-pace dominated race at Doomben 26/9) and returns to a track he’s tasted success at on 2 occasions. Rock-hard fit, draws in to sit handy to them and is weighted so unbelievably well – no knocks whatsoever here.

Gosford R2 No.4 – MANHATTAN FEVER
It was all too bad to be true at Canterbury when pulled out of the race, turned out she suffered a Cardiac Arythmia. Like horses bouncing back off incidents like that and she appears to be in pristine order after a lovely quiet trial at Rosehill 29/9. Race plates go on along with the winkers and keen she draws out. Will roll forward from the alley and on talent looks very hard to beat. Debut at Canterbury she beat home Deploy who has since just missed behind Sooboog, that form stacks up for this.
