Call Me Curtis hasn't come all the way to Pakenham from Morphettville for no reason!
SA visitor who debuted behind a very smart one at Morphettville (thought enough of her to send her to G3 in Melbourne), raced rated well on the day being not far off the overall time of the BM70 later in the afternoon. Draws inside for a ripping run just behind the leaders and only needs luck straightening to be hard to beat. Don’t come all the way to Pakenham on a Thursday from Morphettville for no reason!

Gosford R3 No.6 – LA GRANDE
This new season 3yo has been terrific winning both runs to date, recent effort over the 1400m at Kembla Grange was excellent. Settled at the rear of the field and wound up late to storm over the top of them (late splits v.good). Progression to the mile no issue and receives significant weight relief (drops 5kgs!). Can be a touch closer in the run this time/pattern might be against but looks very hard to beat against mediocre bunch.

Mackay R6 No.2 – MISHANI GLADIATOR
Galloper in very good form and strikes favourable conditions here this afternoon, comes out of $100,000 race where he just missed rattling home late from the rear. Third horse out of the race (Playtime) has since gone to Saturday grade in town and run extremely well, suggest form out of the race will stand up. Possible query is he drops back to 1100m but there looks to be genuine speed on paper, can sit a touch closer from the favourable draw and just have too much class for them late.
