Tom Gilmore has five selections on a busy Wednesday of racing action.
William Hill Park R1 No.1 - BACKSTREET LOVER
We cant go much earlier than race 1, no.1 can we? Really nice filly this who won what appeared to be a good race on debut at Cranbourne, she sat handy to the leaders and really put them away when asked for an effort. They ran good time v. older horses later in the day which gives even more merit to the win, dont see 1400m being an issue and in a small field if she can lead them up/box seat I cant see her losing this.

William Hill Park R2 No.8 - SEPTAMORE
Was huge at Pakenham when leading setting a hot speed (track thats proven tough to lead all the way at), only really tired late and was nabbed by a smart one with a soft run off his back. They ran 1.24.15 which rated close to some quality older horses later in the day! The track here has played quite favourably to those on-speed so pattern should be favourable, drops 1kg for this and if he produces what he did at Pakenham he'll be very hard to beat.

William Hill Park R7 No.2 - PENNY TO SELL
Really progressive mare this who was excellent fresh at Moonee Valley in a good race, the leader ran them along and they ended up running time basically equivalent to the BM90 later in the day. The mare got back over the unsuitable 1200m and really rattled home over the final 100m to only go down 0.5 lengths (last 200m split v.good). Big track/1400m are major positives and this isnt a quality field. If they can make ground down the centre of the track she'll be storming home!

Warwick Farm R2 No.6 - HIGHDINI
She was good fresh over 1200m at Wyong this girl, was only beaten by what looks a nice horse but they gapped everything else. Draws in and gets to 1400m which I think will suit her, on debut at Canterbury in July she got back and really rattled home late to finish on the heels of some genuine city-class gallopers, i'd like to see them again allow her to settle and be the one having the last crack at them.
Highdini - 1pt @ 3.0Lost -1pts
Ipswich R6 No.4 - TERIO TOOL
Returns fresh this bloke and I think he's got some upside, was good last prep winning on two occasions and he looks like a horse who'll make it to city company this time in. Rail out/pattern should suit his jump and run style, if he can pinch a break on them at the turn he could be very run down. Come up a good each-way price.
