Echuca R3 No.8 - MISS JAMAICA

Thought her debut was quite good at Pakenham a month ago, got back and hit the line like a nice horse in what proved a difficult race to make ground (1-2 were first around the bend). I think the fact that she's drawn in and with a run under belt she'll be mighty hard to beat. Kept fresh for the step to 1100m looks a good move, too.

Echuca R7 No.2 - MAGNAGEM

Mare was very good fresh off a 12 month lay-off at Sandown when being shuffled back over the 1000m, winner jumped and lead them a merry dance and was never troubled at any stage (Stakes horse). She hit the line ok though and dropping back in grade/second-up things look much more suitable for her. She'll only improve lengths off that run and looks mighty hard to beat here.

Wyong R4 No.7 - FLAMBOYANT LASS

Great race this but I reckon this filly looks primed to run a massive race fresh on the back of an impressive trial (30/11) in good time. She goes really well first-up, earlier this year was a dominant winner on a soft track over older horses, before just missing over 1400m at Listed level. She's a better short courser in my opinion and the inside draw/on the minimum suggests to me she'll be very hard to beat. Had the better of Counter Attack (3rd G1 Coolmore Stakes) in January this year!

Geraldton R6 No.5 - FULL CLIP

Rolled along at a very genuine tempo a month ago in town at Ascot over 1200m, weakened as you could imagine as swoopers pounced. Has been freshened up and drops in class somewhat for this afternoon, doesnt look as much speed on paper so he should roll to the front from gate 6 and be very tough to beat. Gets in well relative weights thanks to the claim from Johnston-Porter
