Tom Gilmore has six selections on a bumper Saturday of racing action.
Moonee Valley R1 No.1 - PETITES REWARD
She burnt the candle at both ends this filly winning here two weeks ago over the 955m. They ran slick time and at the weights with the claim from Dylan Dunn she is mathematically mighty hard to beat. Will roll forward again and there doesnt look to be all that much speed on paper, gets a decent time of it and should win.
Petites Reward - 1pt @ 3.8
Moonee Valley R4 No.5 - STAR STEALER
Nice horse on the up this who returned with a very impressive win at Swan Hill, only did what he had to and looked to have plenty up his sleeve. Kept fresh for this which I dont mind and the fact he's drawn well in gate 4 means he can track them through in the box seat run. Finished on the heels of Rough Justice (winner at Flemington recently) and Husson Eagle (Group competitive) in his first campaign.
Star Stealer - 1pt @ 2.6
Moonee Valley R8 No.3 - SIRBIBLE (each-way)
He's been magnificent in his two runs to date in Victoria, won a hot race a month ago here at the Valley before running well at Stakes level at Caulfield (led against the pattern and stuck on well!). He'll again jump and run from the wide alley and track certainly suits, if he can pinch a break at the turn he could be very hard to run down.
Sirbible - 0.5pt e/w @ 8.5
Rosehill R6 No.4 - MISS ROYALE
Loved the way she hit the line returning at Warwick Farm when storming over the top of them to win, 2nd & 3rd in that race had led to the bend so plenty of merit in the performance. Second-up no doubt strips fitter and drawn for a soft run on the rails which should be no disadvantage, she could sit a touch closer to them and be far too classy.
Miss Royale - 1pt @ 2.6
Sunshine Coast R4 No.1 - CHARCUTERIE
Very impressed they way s\he won against the pattern here two weeks ago over the mile, sat midfield and really came over the top with some solid late splits. He'll appreciate the step to 1800m and the fact he's drawn to be tractable (soft alley) is a major positive. Gets a nice little weight swing on a key rival which is important.
Charcuterie - 1pt @ 4.0
Ascot R8 No.1 - DELICACY
This is an outstanding mare who has to break records carrying a big weight but i'm very confident she can do so. Was a dominant winner in the Cox Stakes after being very unlucky at G1 level (should have won) two weeks prior. She gets to the 2400m which is an even further advantage (has won an Oaks & Derby at the trip). She'll get a soft run from the inside draw and just needs to pop off the fence in transit to be mighty hard to beat.
Delicacy - 1pt @ 2.5
