Tom Gilmore is back with some top tips fro Friday's racing action.
Cranbourne R1 No.5 - VICIOUS
Nice horse this thats better than what his record suggests, his debut campaign he was competitive at Stakes level behind the likes of Pasadena Girl & Stay With Me (G1 winners) which will stand him in excellent stead for this evening. Jumped-out at Flemington 30/12 in superb style, looks very well and no doubt ready to win. Inside draw no issue as I expect he'll be handy to them over the short course.
Vicious - 1pt @ 1.9
Cranbourne R2 No.8 - SEPTAMORE
Been costly to punters this fella but prepared to forgive him this evening with the blinkers going on, he's been good at Sandown in his past two outings over 1400m but just been running into one better. Draws out which gives him no choice but to roll forward which I like, there doesnt appear a whole lot of speed on paper so he should be untroubled.
Septamore - 1pt @ 2.6
Cranbourne R5 No.8 - CHARLIE'S DREAM (each-way)
Think she's a nice filly in the making and I was rather impressed with her recent effort at Sandown over a mile, she knuckled quite badly at the start and as a result was asked to improve early to take a spot midfield, she then over-raced quite fiercely and as a result was forced to sit 3-4 deep facing the breeze. Race was dominated by those on speed and she only went down by just over 3 lengths. Home track/has won here before and she draws favourably, she's come up big overs!
Charlie's Dream - 1pt e/w @ 14.0
Gosford R4 No.5 - ALEGRIA
Has chased hard in two runs back from a spell over the 1400m in town and the step to a mile looks right up her alley. Speed looks genuine enough on paper and at Gosford you usually can make ground, pattern generally suits those getting off the fence/centre of the track. Looks well in at the weights (drops 1kg for recent effort and gets J.McDonald on!), she's a quality galloper.
Alegria - 1pt @ 2.9
