Down-in-class Mischievous Devil rates the best bet of the day at Sunshine Coast.
Mornington R2 No.3 - MOSS GO NOW
Was good here two weeks ago over the 1200m when well backed, he appeared to have his chance but just couldnt go with a smart one (who since won well in town) which stacks up in a poor race like this. Progression to the 1500m suits and he draws in for a soft run, should win.
Moss Go Now - 1pt @ 3.6
Mornington R5 No.9 - DANGEROUS BREEDING
Nice filly who won well on debut earlier this year, returns fresh and thought she jumped out well at Caulfield 29/12 - it was a very quiet trial, she wasnt asked to do anything but looked good for 600m before basically being restrained to last. She'll fly the lids and over the 1000m here at Mornington that should be a huge advantage.
Dangerous Breeding - 1pt @ 2.5
Sunshine Coast R6 No.1 - MISCHIEVOUS DEVIL
Has chased really well in two races in town since returning from a break over 1200m, the most recent of which at the Gold Coast rated well. Gets the extra 100m he needs and drops significantly in grade, cant see why he shouldnt be winning this well.
Mischievous Devil - 2pts @ 2.1
Warrnambool R6 No.2 - CRACKAJACK
Month between runs after performing well over the 2400m at Sandown, was just caught a touch in no mans land and not convinced he totally ran the trip hence the drop back to 2000m this afternoon. Stable seems confident despite the weight with no apprentice to claim, he'll box seat and the drop in grade should see him very hard to beat. He's won here before!
