Cranbourne R1 No.9 - BALLYBRIT
Comes out of a good maiden this filly two weeks ago at Sandown over 1300m, she jumped well but was posted three-deep throughout close to a genuine speed in what proved a swoopers race (winner very smart and has won again!). Like the way she flattened out her final 150m, suggest getting to the 1500m wont trouble her and from the inside draw she could very well lead them up.

Cranbourne R7 No.9 - CERTAIN ELLIE
Comes out of a slick race at Moonee Valley where they ran good time on the day (quicker than older horses over the 1000m later in the afternoon) and she stuck on well. She was first-up for the best part of six months so you'd expect some natural improvement, dont mind she's drawn out either as I think she can jump and cross them. If Oliver can find the fence she might be hard to run down at a big price.
Certain Ellie - 1pt e/w @ 10.0
Ararat R8 No.10 - AGLAIA (NAP)
This is a very weak race and going off the way the mare performed returning at Mornington two weeks ago she'll be mighty hard to beat, just tired late over the 1000m and was nabbed in the last hop after setting a decent gallop in transit. Strips fitter/drops 1.5kgs at the weights and looks the leader on paper. Cant see her being beaten and with that in mind she's the best of the day.
Aglaia - 2pt @ 5.0
Gosford R1 No.3 - DEPLOY
Gets to the races for the first time since September after he was unlucky not to break his duck amidst some pretty smart gallopers (some of which went on to be competitive at Stakes level). Really liked his trial 12 days ago at Randwick on a heavy track which I dont think suited him, but he still managed to bowl around nicely under no urgings to win the heat. If he puts himself there from the wide alley he should win this.
