Geelong R1 No.1 - MR CHURCHILL

Comes out of a very good maiden at Sandown when he was caught in the worst part of the track when trying to make ground, was only 1.7 lengths off what looks a really nice horse and that form should really stand up (considering they ran far quicker time than the older horses later in the day!). Getting to the mile will suit and fancy with a bit more clean air he'll be winning. With natural improvement/in this field he's the best of the day!

Geelong R2 No.10 - SHAMPION

This is a very, very nice filly. She's beautifully related (3/4 to a G1 winner) and had a jumpout at Flemington 8/1 in superb fashion. Just bowled around over 800m and really wasnt asked for much but went through the line under her own steam like a good horse. This is a pretty limited field in my book and despite the fact I think she'll want further she can win and go on to bigger and better things.

Geelong R5 No.5 - HOT MAMA

She's been progressing really well with each run this campaign off the back of the best part of 18 months off, was impressed with her effort behind Kings Command (who has since won again) here two weeks ago over 1200m when she was a touch unlucky. In the small field she should get every chance if she drops in for a trail as per the map. Her best form would see her winning this (Stakes competitive as a 3yo) and I think she's getting close!

Warwick Farm R3 No.5 - TSARITSA

She (finally) got the chocolates for us on a heavy track here two weeks ago over 1400m, I dont think the bottomless track necessarily suited her but class prevailed. Back on top of the ground/sticking at the 1400m and from the soft draw with H.Bowman on board she should be winning again. Rises 0.5kgs at the weights v. key rival!

Ipswich R2 No.12 - SHAWL

Massive effort from the filly second-up to storm home from the back of the field in town over 1200m and just miss, the race was dominated by the leader and Doomben has been notoriously difficult to make ground on of late so the run has plenty of merit! She's ready for the progression to 1350m and from the nice draw J.Lloyd may be able to take a sit a touch closer to them possibly 2-3 pairs back with cover. Fancy she'll be hard to beat!
Shawl - 1pt @ 3.1

Ascot R5 No.3 - QUEEN OF CHOICE

Promising mare returning for her first run this campaign off the back of a smart trial at Lark Hill just over a week ago, she'll be improving as she gets to 1400m but if they go mad up front I have no doubt she'll be right there ready to swoop. Speed looks quite good on paper so they very well may set it up for her.
