Tom Gilmore has the bookies running for cover on Saturday with seven red-hot tips.
Moonee Valley R1 No.2 - YULONG BABY (NAP)
Lovely mare this who has won her last two after being unlucky fresh, was dominant on a day when it was tough to make ground at Caulfield when dropping back to 1800m. Fancy she's a better 2000m horse which she gets today and meets key rivals well at the weights. Just needs room to wind up and if so she'll be too good.
Yulong Baby (nap) - 1pt @ 2.7
Moonee Valley R3 No.1 - CHOOSE (each-way)
Nice mare returning after the best part of 11 months off, she has gone well fresh in the past and is a real 1200m specialist. Like the fact she's come up good overs and the that she rolls forward naturally. Track pattern may very well suit and happy to spec at the price.
Choose - 1pt e/w @ 9.0
Moonee Valley R9 No.10 - RATIONALITY
Love when Phil Stokes brings across a horse thats been flying in SA, and this mare has been doing exactly that. Won in tremendous style getting to the mile for the first time at Morphettville in a race that'll be producing winners going forward, she gets in on the minimum this afternoon and only needs to slot in with some cover to be winning.
Rationality - 1pt @ 2.9
Randwick R1 No.2 - TOP SCORE
Beat some good ones on debut back in October this colt, he was then spelled which suggests they rate his talent. Recent hitout at Randwick was very slick in a good heat and suggests he's come back a bigger and better colt. Should either box seat or sit leaders girth in the small field. Nice horse going forward in my opinion.
Top Score - 1pt @ 3.4
Randwick R4 No.8 - WILD 'N' FAMOUS
Good horse thats trialled up nicely twice for his return this afternoon, doesnt win out of turn but he's been competitive fresh in better races than this (wasnt far off the flying Inz'n'out last prep) which would hold him in great stead here. Soft track no issue and draws for a lovely run with the 55.5kgs.
Wild 'N' Famous - 1pt @ 3.5
Doomben R7 No.9 - DOUBLE BANGER (each-way)
She's come up big overs for a mare in ripping form, strung together three on the trot (including beating Liberation) before just getting pipped at the Gold Coast on what was a genuine tempo. Winner had the soft run but she really fought on to go down narrowly. Rises in grade today but there doesnt look a truckload of speed on paper and she does get in on the minimum. Can win if they lead/box seat!
Double Banger - 1pt e/w @ 8.0
Morphettville R1 No.2 - TUNES
Form in staying races like this is vital, he is just a winner this fella and despite the fact he rises 2kgs for recent win here two weeks ago he should again be hard to beat. Draws the inside which means he again wont need to spend a penny in the run and all he'll need is some room to wind up from the 800m. Lindop sticks and he's racing at his peak.
Tunes - 1pt @ 2.4
