It's another busy day of racing and Tom Gilmore has five bets for punters.
Warrnambool R1 No.5 - BARELY A DIAMOND
I like this horse and thought his debut was quite good, he led and set a pretty genuine tempo in transit as there was plenty of pressure early. They set it up for a swooper from the back to gobble them up late which was the case, reckon the winner is a very smart horse so no knock on that form. Doesnt look to be as much pressure early in this race and I like coming back to 1100m.

Barely A Diamond - 1pt @ 3.3
Pakenham R1 No.2 - CHABELLE
She was very good this mare at Sandown in a better race than this, was caught in the worst part of the track but stuck on gamely and was only bettered by a pretty good one in my opinion. Third horse out of the race has since run well in town last Saturday, theres a little swing in the weights in favour of key rival but D.Oliver goes on! Should be positive early and very hard to beat.
Chabelle - 1pt @ 3.0
Pakenham R2 No.11 - ROSEBERRY STREET
Went super on debut the filly when a big price, she jumped well and led throughout before being collared late. Was within a length of two gallopers I consider city class and with the debut under her belt she'll strip much fitter and look the winner from a long way. They ran slick time in that race (rated well v. older horses later in the day!) which should stand her in good stead, looks the natural leader again.
Roseberry Street - 1pt @ 6.0
Pakenham R7 No.10 - VICIOUS
He was a sit and steer job fresh at Cranbourne when a short priced fav, sat in the box seat and was cuddled to victory. We didnt see what he truly might be capable of (they still ran ok time) but we might get a better look this afternoon. Runner-up has since come out and won in impressive fashion and the fact he gets to 1200m should suit even further, better to a big track where he has room to move.
Vicious - 1pt @ 3.5
Hawkesbury R5 No.5 - BROWN BEN
Small fields usually favour those on speed and this fella will be setting a course to the fence from the get go, gets the services of T.Berry too which is a major plus. Ran well at Kembla Grange when pressured but did stick on strongly & im a big fan that they've again stuck at the 1400m, shouldnt be under anywhere near as much duress here in transit and can kick clear on the bend.
Brown Ben - 1pt @ 2.5
