Ballarat R1 No.8 - ZAVARONI

Nice filly who was a month between runs at Canterbury two weeks ago, she did a little bit wrong but didnt finish far off them. That was a much better race than this and she'll strip fitter into this afternoon. Inside draw will suit as she'll be taking a prominent position mid-race. Back to 1400m it wouldnt even shock me to see her lead them into the straight.

Ballarat R5 No.6 - ROYAL GLANCE

Going well this mare and really like the fact she gets to the mile for the first time, hit the line nicely at Pakenham over 1400m in a decent style of race. Winner went on to be competitive in town which is a good sign, this race lacks any real depth and I think from the good draw she'll be close enough to come home over the top of them.

Scone R7 No.10 - THREE SHEETS

She was really good with a big weight at Randwick after winning well two weeks prior at the Sunshine Coast, she just couldnt sprint with them over the six furlongs and I dont necessarily think she looked all that comfortably on a shifting surface either. Back on top of the ground/1400m are major ticks. Again gets the right run mid-race to go close!

Ipswich R6 No.1 - LIBERATION

Has been competitive in much better races than this and fancy from the inside draw he is a clear best of the day at Ipswich, was in the betting in a $100,000 Stakes race at the Sunshine Coast two starts back before failing with excuses. He will have taken benefit from the hit-out at Doomben and looks mighty hard to beat today, can lead/box seat and prove too good for them.
