French Emotion is Tom's best bet today at Sandown, she's been dominant late in her last two runs and will stand a pretty solid chance of getting up again today.
Sandown R3 No.1 - ZAPURBLY
Was really good fresh here three weeks ago over the 1400m, made up a stack of ground but just couldnt go with Egypt (since come out and run 2nd in G3 Vanity!). Now that form stacks up enormously for this and from the good draw/fitter getting to the mile she'll be really tough to beat. Was only three lengths off Tarzino last time at the trip.

Sandown R4 No.5 - FRENCH EMOTION
She's been just dominant in her two runs back from a spell thus far this prep, was good winning early Jan and then was a month between runs here two weeks ago over 1300m when coming from just off the speed to really blouse them. Get the sense 1400m wont be a hindrance and she again comes up against a pretty limited bunch. Will be winning this before progressing to Saturday grade in town.
Sandown R5 No.3 - SUPER HAZE
Looks a promising style of horse this and his win fresh at Ballarat over 1400m does nothing to dampen that expectation. Sat handy to the early speed and really just belted them when asked to extend. They didnt run any real time but the horse himself only did what he had to, get the feeling second-up/1500m on a big track could be right up his alley. Inside draw a slight query but if Zahra is positive early he should be able to pop off the fence and give him every chance. Keen to follow this horse.
Rosehill R6 No.1 - METALLIC CROWN
At his best when leading this colt and fresh he was only so so when forced to take a sit, things just didnt pan out well for him so prepared to forgive. Think dropping back to this sort of grade and with H.Bowman on he can find somewhere near his best, will roll forward from the wide alley and give a big sight at a good EW quote. Was a G3 winner early spring of 2015 and has been near enough to the likes of Mahuta, so he has plenty of class!

Rosehill R7 No.3 - MARY LOU
Gee she was good in the Belle Of The Turf at Gosford, just nosed out when chasing a horse who just had the softer run in transit. Has been kept up to the mark since with a soft spin around at Warwick Farm 8/2 over 1200m, speed doesnt look too hectic on paper which makes her draw key - if she can box seat and be near enough to them at the bend she'll be mighty hard to hold out.

Ascot R1 No.13 - CORVARA
Not convinced this is a brilliant race and going off her recent trial win at Belmont 8/2 in very good time she should be mighty hard to beat. Jumped straight to the lead, controlled things and really built momentum and no riding to run through the line nicely. She'll measure up to Stakes grade quite comfortably in my opinion.
