Moonee Valley R2 No.1 - STELLAR COLLISION
Highly promising 3yo this whose first prep culminated in a high rating win at Sandown over 1200m, that day he beat Bon Aurum (group winner), Lizard Island (runner-up Caulfield Guineas) and Strike Force (massive talent). A performance like that would have him be very tough to beat, with natural improvement and from the right draw I can see him kicking his campaign off with a win.
Stellar Collision - 1pt @ 5.0
Moonee Valley R5 No.1 - IT IS WRITTEN
Really interested seeing how he goes over the short course at a track he absolutely loves, and they've finally taken M.Allen off which fair to say was due. Gets in well relative weights with the 60kgs and was unlucky not to win here a month ago at G2 level. His form is far better than these, its just a matter of if he can jump and run with them early. Will be very strong late.
It Is Written - 1pt @ 6.5
Moonee Valley R6 No.2 - SECRET AGENDA
She is a total flying machine this filly, loved the way she has been jumping out at Caulfield recently - going so well they were hoping to sneak her into the G1 Oakleigh Plate Saturday carrying 50kgs (emergency). If she runs here from the right draw she'll either lead or box seat and be very hard to beat. Was stiff not to win the Champagne Stakes here last spring when beaten by track bias.
Secret Agenda - 1pt @ 3.75
Kilmore R3 No.9 - CLEVFILLY
This filly worked early at Mornington over the 1500m and probably had every right to weaken out of the finish, instead showed plenty of fight to stick on and only go down 0.8 lengths in what was a much better race than this. She can again find the lead pretty comfortably this afternoon and big tick dropping back an extra 50m. She's at her peak and should be winning.
Clevfilly - 1pt @ 3.3
Sunshine Coast R4 No.5 - TUMBLER (x2 points)
Really nice horse this who did plenty wrong on debut at Ipswich but still managed to prove far too good winning well (third horse was since unlucky not to win at the Gold Coast), dropping back to 1000m might be a slight query but the speed does look good on paper which should give her every chance to balance up and be storming home late. Pattern very well might suit, too.
Tumbler - 2pt @ 2.2
Grafton R2 No.7 - OUR BLEVIC
Two big keys for this horse this afternoon, the drop back to 1200m and the fact he only carries 52kgs after the claim from Graham. Has plenty in his favour and thought his recent effort over 1400m was good, found the line well in a race far more suitable for those closer to the speed. They'll go hard in this which will set him up to run big splits late to savage the line.
Our Blevic - 1pt @ 4.2
