Caulfield R6 No.3 - TURN ME LOOSE

Did a truckload of work fresh over the 1400m in the C.F Orr, had no peace in the middle stages and the fact he stuck on so gamely late gives merit to the performance. Is a big improver second-up and he should be able to control things with the speed not looking as hectic early. Really like him for this!

Caulfield R7 No.1 - EXTREME CHOICE

What a cracking Blue Diamond, cant go past this fella who was breathtaking on debut in Sydney before two months between runs when returning at Caulfield over the 1000m. He ran slick mid-race splits and yet still managed to blow them away late, ran 57.09 overall which is just sizzling! Gave no indication the 1200m would be an issue and from the draw I expect him to bounce and be handy early, that could prove vital as he'll have a break on key rival. Think he just wins.

Caulfield R8 No.16 - HEATHERLY

She is totally flying this filly, gets in with 50kgs and draws well. She is going to roll along on speed and with any luck at a genuine tempo, sapping the sprint out of some key rivals tracking her. Her win here two weeks ago in the Rubiton was in very good time and she looked to cruise to the line with plenty up her sleeve. She rates to win this on my figures.

Caulfield R9 No.10 - AZKADELLIA

High quality mare who flew late off an average tempo here when fresh at 1200m, rank very big closing splits (day fastest) but just peaked on the run in her final 50m. Strips fitter/1400m suit and this looks to be at her mercy, she rates to win this at the weights and there appears to be more speed on paper which will suit. Pattern at this point of the day should suit those getting off the fence and swooping late.

Randwick R6 No.3 - SOLICIT

Thought she gave Winx (Cox Plate winner) a serious fright when second-up over the 1400m, stuck on well after leading them up and seeming somewhat of a sitting duck. She peaks third-up and this field shouldn't prove too difficult to overcome. Like her at the set-weights carrying 56kgs and with the rail out +6m she'll be very hard to run down.

Doomben R5 No.8 - PUNTA NORTE (each-way)

This gelding was very good fresh over the 1100m when they were just a touch sharp for him, second-up things didnt all go according to plan when he couldnt find the lead. Like the pattern when third-up/mile, last time at the trip he went all the way and beat some handy ones that would be right in this. He should manage to find a soft lead and give plenty of cheek over the final 200m.

Morphettville R1 No.1 - Dalradian

Good colt who's just had a bit go wrong in his two starts since resuming from a spell, got very worked up in the Inglis 2yo race at Caulfield three weeks ago over the 1200m and faded understandably. Blinkers come off and back to 1000m are major plus'. He drops in grade so to speak here in Adelaide and if he can find a spot tracking the leaders I fancy he'll be very hard to hold out over the final 100m. Can sprint well here and beat these.
