The switch to a new barn could spark an improved effort from Fantasy Eight at Terang.
Terang R1 No.13 - SANGRE CALIENTE
Thought her return run was ok at Colac over the 1100m, she was slow away in what proved a race to be dominated by those nearest to the speed. She did hold her position and make some ground late which suggests she's going ok, big key here is the blinkers going on for the first time and the fact that she's drawn out. Will roll forward and offer plenty to catch over the final furlong. Debut effort in July last year when leading in what proved a good maiden would have her winning.
Sangre Caliente - 1pt @ 3.5
Terang R5 No.2 - FANTASY EIGHT
This was a very promising youngster that just hasnt been able to reproduce to that level over the last 6-12 months, now in the care of Mitch Freedman down at Warrnambool and with that in mind I fancy the new scenery/beach facilities may have the ability to spark her up. Was 2.5 lengths off the likes of Matilija and Vezalay (group class) over 1000m fresh this time last year, an effort anywhere near that and she'll spank this lot.
Fantasy Eight - 1pt @ 3.6
Muswellbrook R3 No.13 - MISS LE NORD (each-way)
Made really good ground here second-up four weeks ago over the 1280m this filly, tempo of the race suited those nearer to the speed so there was plenty of merit in the effort. Looks a decent gallop in this early and with that being the case it should set up nicely for her to be running over the top of them late. Third-up should be peaking, maybe wants further but happy to side with her today.
Miss Le Nord - 0.5pt e/w @ 9.5
