Stawell R3 No.9 - WE'RE SO LUCKY

Promising enough style of filly this who was quite good without saluting in her debut preparation, she only finished 4 lengths off Palentino (G1 colt) the last time she was here at Stawell! Liked her recent trial at Bordertown where she wasnt asked to do too much, jumped well and cruised around quite comfortably. She's drawn out so it'd be good to see Childs positive early, if they roll to the front and find the fence she should be winning.

Stawell R4 No.6 - BEACHLEY

Thought this filly was really good fresh at Sale when going down narrowly, winner had been competitive amongst much better horses and this girl looked like a filly needing the run that day. Her effort to get so close all things considering was excellent (ran good time too). Strips fitter/yes to 1300m, stable thought enough of her to compete in a G2 Manifold Stakes last spring.

Wyong R1 No.1 - REINFORCED

Improved second-up at Newcastle when getting to the 1350m, did a bit wrong but liked the way he showed a bit chasing them. Will take great benefit from a physical stand-point and the outing in general wont have hurt his maturity levels. Small field I expect Shinn to be positive early, they havent yet revved him up early but I fancy today they'll be keen to be handy to them. If he's in the leading pair at the bend I expect him to win.

Wyong R7 No.4 - HIS MAJESTY

Mighty nice horse, and a younger brother of Puissance De Lune, this fella. His win fresh when returning at Newcastle was arrogant as jockey Shinn sat three pairs off the leaders and didnt really move on the gelding has he left them in his wake, his late splits were v.good. The 1350m will suit and he no doubt strips fitter (second-up last time in just nosed out by a really good one in Start Wondering). Drawn awkwardly but he'll be positioned up where comfortable and with the speed on paper looking genuine he'll rattle home over the top.
His Majesty - 1pt @ 3.3

Pakenham R4 No.7 - CAMPANULA

She's been a bridesmaid this prep but today is her day, her last two runs at 1400m have been very good. At Sandown she was half a length off Charlevoix (excellent hitting the line in G2 since) then here two weeks ago she got back off a muddling tempo and went down a nose. Bigger field/speed appears a touch more genuine and she's at her peak. This isnt an overly strong race and she rates to be winning.
Campanula - 1pt @ 3.5

Pakenham R8 No.12 - CLOVERLEIGH LASS (each-way)

She's a huge price considering she's coming off a very impressive win at Echuca three weeks ago when nothing went right for her. Did a power of work early, hung rounding the bend then kicked on strongly when balanced up to score well. Gets the blinkers on and she looks like she'll appreciate the step to 1400m. Big track here at Pakenham will suit her and she's a sneaky chance to roll some more fancied rivals
