Last time our racing expert tipped at Ballarat he came out $162 in profit. Don't miss out on this three picks there today.
Ballarat R1 No.2
This looks a very nice 3yo for Cameron Templeton, debuted in what was a good race at Pakenham four weeks ago where he was run off his legs early but made very good ground late. They ran very slick overall time and I fancy he probably could have beaten the winner if he wasnt so green. Going to be much better for the experience and this race doesnt look exactly star-studded. Needs to do a bit right but has plenty of ability and I fancy that'll get him over the line.
Ballarat R2 No.2
He was very good here three weeks ago when probably unlucky not to get the chocolates. Bombed the start and was forced to hussle through early to take a position midfield, looked to improve rounding the bend but found backsides and also copped a whack on the nose with a rivals whip (surely cant help?). Made very good ground over the final 200m when clear and certainly looks very hard to beat with the run under his belt!
Ballarat R8 No.10
She was a certainty beaten at Bendigo two weeks ago over the 1400m, they elected to ride her cold for the first time and she appeared to settle beautifully early. Copped a terrible check (nearly fell) when looking to improve mid-race and then had the audacity to pick and sprint quickly before finding backsides. She just should have won! Fancy the step to a mile wont be a hindrance and she's drawn a nice marble that should enable her to find clean air when improving over the final 400m.
Taree R4 No.5
Was good fresh three weeks ago at Newcastle when he just couldnt go with a smart one, that winner has since come out and again run well in a much better race. He strips fitter and I dont mind the fact they've dropped him back to the 1000m, suggests to me they'll be looking to lead/run this along at a genuine gallop and suck the sprint out of key rivals. Expect big improvement into today as only came into his first-up run off one soft trial.
