Tom Gilmore's best bets for Bendigo, Wyong and Ipswich this Wednesday 30th March.
Bendigo R1 No.3 - JERSEY GIRL
Returns to the races for the first time since September last year, trialled up at Caulfield over 750m 15/3 in scintillating fashion (smashed the clock) and looked to have something still in the tank doing so. Will be prominent early from the wide draw and may very well lead. Her two placings to date have been in good company (just missed to city-class Magnette at Ballarat). Reckon she may very well progress to Saturday grade this time in.

Jersey Girl - 1pt @ 3.80
Bendigo R5 No.4 - REMORSE
Like the way she profiles for this after jumping from 1600m to 2040m at Moonee Valley recently, ran through the line nicely and the race did rate ok (winner/3rd have been competitive in good company since). Always a major positive second-run at the trip after making a progression, much fitter and this race lacks plenty of real 'rivals'. Gets a nice run on the map and should be winning.
Remorse - 1pt @ 2.50
Bendigo R7 No.4 - GILARDE
Thought she was really good when basically four weeks between runs at Tatura over the 1400m, jumped well but was pocketed three back the fence in transit before looking to improve at the 600m, basically had her momentum totally stopped when forced to check off heels after finding traffic. Meanwhile the winner was off and gone but she did manage to pick up and really run through the line late. Big tick the ten day turn around/fitter, she's going well and gets a lovely run on the map. Should be storming home over the top from three pairs back.
Gilarde - 1pt @ 4.80
Wyong R2 No.10 - LADY CARNOUSTIE
She looks to have plenty of class this filly, like the way she's been more than competitive with the likes of Dixie Blossoms (G3 runner-up) and Montaigne (G1 class) on previous occasions. That sort of form is enormous for a race like this, despite the fact she wont be 'wound-up' for today (quiet trial 10/3 at Warwick Farm but looked good) she may just be a superior galloper. Gets a gun run on the map from gate 4, reckon we'll see her measuring up in Stakes company in time and definitely one worth following!
Lady Carnoustie - 1pt @ 2.90
Wyong R4 No.1 - SOMETHING SECRET
Carries a big weight this filly but she's been racing in much better company than this of late (last two starts in town at G3 level) and she's actually been far from disgraced. Has run through the line ok on both occasions and blinkers go on for the first time today, suggest we might see her more forward this afternoon considering the circumstances (weight/shades on) and if so she's a big chance back to a grade like this. Like her stepping up an extra 150m in trip too.
Something Secret - 1pt @ 6.50
Ipswich R1 No.7 - ROSADOR (each-way)
She is going far too well to be double figures in a race like this, has continued to come on with each run this campaign and was good getting to a mile at Toowoomba recently. Didnt quite let down on the firm going like she can with the sting out (gets that today) and she's actually beaten the market elect in September last year. Carries no weight after the claim from J.Oliver and draws favourably, she'll be close enough to them at the turn and give us a big sight.
Rosador - 0.5pt e/w @ 9.00
