Tom Gilmore's best bets at Sandown, Warwick Farm, Ipswich and Ascot this Wednesday.
Sandown R1 No.1 - MONTANA
Something beaten in his last two starts but it was tragic here two weeks ago over 1300m, just ran up backsides when looking to improve meanwhile the eventual winner was off and gone. Made good ground late/splits were strong which give every indication 1400m will suit. Would love to see Zahra get the horse to settle a touch closer to them, just needs room to wind up and he'll be winning.

Sandown R2 No.4 - STEROESONIC (each-way)
Thought his effort at Bendigo 10 days ago was good in a race that rated well on the day, he found the line like a horse wanting the extra furlong at this point of the campaign and he does look to get a nice run on the map. Reckon they might roll along here and give him every chance to come home over the top. I am a fan of M.Dee going on with the 1.5kg claim, well in at the weights and on his day (he's going well!) has the talent to give this a shake.
Stereosonic - 1pt @ 14.00
Sandown R7 No.5 - GOOD OFFA
He's a really nice off-season metro sprinter this fella, beat a good one here over the 1200m three weeks ago (since huge effort in a high rating race at Mornington) when jumping to the front and managing to hold off all comers. They did run very slick time and he burnt the candle at both ends. Don't mind the drop back to 1000m as he'll again be positive looking to run them off their feet, wasnt far off G1 quality 3yo Supido at Flemington earlier this year!
Good Offa - 1pt @ 4.60
Warwick Farm R1 No.1 - TAJ MAHAL
Went around at $1.50 on debut at Kemble Grange and missed by a pimple before going to Rosehill and running on gamely in the G3 Baillieu over 1400m. Hit the line very well under the circumstances (winner lead) and back to this sort of grade he looks mighty hard to beat. Blinkers come off and winkers go on which intrigues, think he's tractable enough to go forward if he jumps well but at worst midfield/cover. Has the turn of foot to beat this lot and do like the current price.
Taj Mahal - 1pt @ 2.80
Warwick Farm R5 No.4 - TOP OF MY LIST
She was excellent winning on debut here at The Farm running good time off the back of a nice trial (heavy track), she beat a few promising types of horses on that occasion and looked a galloper herself that would improve with the run. Ran through the line like 1400m wont be an issue and she again should get the right sort of run in transit (fence pending?). If the rail is ok she'll be going very close again.
Top of my List - 1pt @ 4.60
Ipswich R3 No.8 - HANNAHS WISH
Made good ground fresh here two weeks ago over the 1000m in a race that was dominated by the leaders (tough to make ground all day!). The fact she found the line against the pattern is promising and she'll no doubt appreciate the 1200m. Drops 2kgs at the weights for the run that day and physically will have come on a length or two which should be enough to see her go close. Could measure up in town on a Saturday at some point this campaign.
Hannahs Wish - 1pt @ 5.50
Ascot R1 No.1 - RISING SEA
Did absolutely nothing wrong here two weeks ago over the 1200m when he sat off them in transit before sprinting well when asked to. Came over the top of the leaders quite comfortably and hit the line like a genuine 1400m horse. Again gets a really good run on the map and at the set-weights he looks very hard to beat. I'm not sure why he's so soft in the market, looks a genuine 6/4 chance in my book.
Rising Sea - 1pt @ 4.00
