Tom Gilmore goes in search of more punting profits at Hamilton on Monday afternoon.
Hamilton R4 No.7 - TURN AGAIN
His debut for Daniel Bowman at Warrnambool two weeks ago over the 1100m was excellent, settled towards the rear of the field and managed to make significant ground late to just miss. 1st/3rd - led/box seated so there was plenty of merit to the run. Fancy he'll be suited by a step up in trip and he'll strip fitter. Awkward draw makes things interesting, has been handy on previous occasions so they may look to be positive early trying to take a position.
Turn Again - 1pt @ 3.8
Hamilton R5 No.2 - SILBAR
Got the chocolates for us two weeks ago at Warrnambool when stepping to the 1400m off the back of a very good effort prior behind La Consolidata (did turn the tables that day) and that horse has since come out and won well in a slick race at Pakenham. Form lines are standing up and he again finds another winnable 0-58. Reckon they'll go hard here and with a cart into the race he can again reel off the splits to come home over the top late.
Silbar - 1pt @ 3.0
Hamilton R6 No.10 - CONSPICUOUS MAID
She's a really talented 3yo filly this, first-up last prep she wasn't far away from Miss Gidget (since beaten Stakes winners/city class filly) and then went on to run Heatherly to 3 lengths over 1000m at Moonee Valley. Thats form around a genuine Group 1 class galloper and should hold her in good stead today. Thought she trialled up nicely at Caulfield 29/8 over 800m, too. Gets in well after the claim from Payne and has options in running, should be too classy.
Conspicuous Maid - 1pt @ 5.5
