Warrnambool R4 No.5 - MR SIMPLES
Been a good wrap of his two recent jumpouts at Caulfield, latest on 26/4 over 800m when he just bowled around under his own steam, found the lead and ended up clocking decent enough time doing so (big gap back to 3rd). They haven't opened him up yet but I fancy there could be quite a bit there, usually hesitant horse on debut/fresh through testing going but his two trials have wound him up to go close this afternoon! Will go forward and look to be handy throughout, could be 3-4 wide when peeling but just too good.

Warrnambool R7 No.4 - TURNITAROUND
Improved significantly second-up/Flemington on ANZAC Day when winning in impressive fashion, love the fact he's turned around on the eight-day backup as I anticipate this was a goal to be at his peak third-up as he's trained on-track (Flemington win a bonus!). Should get the right run in transit and he's proven when it comes to surfaces with the sting out, he'll only be better for that run at 1700m a week ago and should be one of the better bets of the day.

Warrnambool R8 No.11 - GRAND DREAMER
He was a certainty beaten at Sandown two weeks ago when he just got too far out of his ground, made enormous inroads late and really did savage the line. The fact he got as close as he did was quite extraordinary when the winner had a much softer time of it. R.Maloney goes back on which is a major positive and another step-up in trip with the sting out of the ground are further ticks. Think they'll run along in this and he'll be the one hitting the line over the top late.

Warrnambool R10 No.13 - GEMMALENAH
Promising filly who did as she pleased at Cranbourne on debut (beating subsequent winners) before being slow away in much better company second-up again over the 1000m. Found the line like a nice horse regardless and things certainly didn't pan out her way. Has been given time to get over that run and the fact she has proven to be tractable gives Currie options depending on pattern of the afternoon (off-fence/swooping?). Draw might make things awkward if fence is off, but if not she's good enough to win.

Kembla Grange R2 No.1 - SPIETH
He's a good colt this fella, finished a length off Group-class filly Secret Agenda on debut September last year when doing alot wrong, before going on to run superbly in G3 Caulfield Guineas Prelude. Since spelled and returned three weeks ago in a very slick G2 Arrowfield Sprint, wasn't disgraced but just was no match fresh for some high-class G1 winners. Form out of the race has already proven to stand up and he comes back significantly in grade. He should just be far, far too good for them.
