R1 11.40am TAB.COM.AU HANDICAP 1100m

LEGERITY has the bonus of having race experience over some of his main rivals. He’s shown potential and his first up run, when he ran second, showed that he’s capable of winning this race. He should get a perfect run from barrier four.

BALTIC WHISPER makes his debut after winning each of his trials in impressive fashion. Jumping from barrier five, Tye Angland will have plenty of options through the early stages.

AVIATOR was a strong debut winner here at the midweeks before appearing at the same track again and finishing sixth due to racing greenly down the straight. The blinkers go on for the first time and he gets the services of Michael Rodd. He does have to carry the top weight, but he’s another contender in the race.

ARCHIVES debuts here for Godolphin. This son of Helmet probably hasn’t trialled the best in three appearances but it’s hard to discount any runner from this stable at the moment. He should get the ideal run through the early stages from barrier one.

R2 12.15pm TAB REWARDS HANDICAP 1200m

GRUNDERZEIT produced a strong first up performance, finishing third at this track over 1100m two weeks ago. He should have taken a lot of improvement from that race and he looks well-suited in this field from barrier seven.

DISGRACEFUL had a good campaign last time out, placing in three of his five runs. He was also the winner first up at Randwick. He has had a trial and the four-year-old should be competitive from barrier six.

TURBULENT JET was disappointing last start when struggling to work his way into the race. He has drawn to get a nice run from barrier one and Winona Costin appears to have a good rapport with the galloper. He could be one that improves dramatically.

FIFTYSHADESOFGREY was very good first up at Doomben before racing in that Hetty Heights race when she was similar to Turbulent Jet. She was unable to work into the race but, with only 55.5kg here, she is another that could improve.

SELECTIONS: No3 GRUNDERZEIT, No5 Disgraceful, No2 Turbulent Jet, No4 Fiftyshadesofgrey
VALUE RUNNER: No4 Fiftyshadesofgrey
Grunderzeit - 1pt @ 5.00

R3 12.50pm TAB HIGHWAY HANDICAP 1200m

CIRCLE GAME resumed well when placing in a Highway Handicap at Randwick over this distance three weeks ago. The filly will strip fitter for that outing and broke maiden status at her prior second up outing last campaign. She’s drawn to get a soft run from barrier one.

LEMMING attempted to lead all the way last time out at Tamworth but just felt the pinch late on when second to Exotic Art. She looks really well weighted with only 51kg on her back and she may take some catching over the final stages of this race.

ROYAL ENGINEER has finished second in his two runs from a spell and the latest was when runner-up in a Benchmark 60 at Armidale. This assignment is a much tougher one but he should improve third up. Barrier 14 will test the skill of Tye Angland through the early stages. DESERT MARSHAL has been a model of consistency this preparation, finishing second in his past two starts. He’s drawn wide in barrier 12 but does get 2kg off his back.

SELECTIONS: No10 CIRCLE GAME, No12 Lemming, No4 Royal Engineer, No2 Desert Marshal
VALUE RUNNER: No12 Lemming
Circle Game - 1pt @ 4.80

R4 1.25pm MORE THAN READY HANDICAP 1900m

RODRICO has won his last two starts in impressive fashion and the latest was on Anzac Day over 1800m at Randwick when carrying 61kg. He drops to 59.5kg for this assignment and he should get the run of the race from barrier two with Tye Angland on board.

CHANDANA was disappointing on her last start. However, she showed in her last campaign that she can quickly find form and then hold it. She’s drawn awkwardly in barrier 14 but at her best she can win this race.

POWER OF PATCH ran second to a rival here in Rodrico just 12 days ago. The gelding now meets Rodrico on better weight terms and must have a chance of turning the tables. He hasn’t finished outside of the top two in his four runs this campaign.

SELECTIONS: No3 RODRICO, No5 Chandana, No8 Power Of Patch
VALUE RUNNER: No5 Chandana
Rodrico - 1pt @ 3.60

R5 2.05pm MCGRATH ESTATE AGENTS HANDICAP 1200m

SIR BACCHUS was very impressive when winning at the track and distance first up. It was a highly encouraging start to his latest preparation and the gelding should have only taken improvement from it. He is well drawn and Rory Hutchings is unbeaten aboard the gelding. He has a big chance of going back to back from barrier three.

LUCKY FISH was impressive last campaign after being gelded. He only had three runs but was able to win one of those and finish second and fourth in the other two. From barrier one and with 3kg off his back, he can win first up again having done so in his last campaign.

SAMPEAH has finished second in each of his two starts this campaign. He can be fighting out the finish again when third up from barrier two.

REINCARNATE couldn't make it four straight wins last start when fourth behind Sir Bacchus at Rosehill a fortnight ago. The blinkers go on for the first time here, which can potentially spark further improvement.

ZARA BAY has trialled well here leading in and presumably would have developed a little during her six-month break. Her only unplaced runs to date were in Group class, so she should be hard to beat at big odds from barrier five.

SELECTIONS: No1 SIR BACCHUS, No9 Lucky Fish, No3 Sampeah, No4 Reincarnate
VALUE RUNNER: No11 Zara Bay
Sir Bacchus - 1pt @ 3.40

R6 2.45pm SCHWEPPES HANDICAP 1350m

START WONDERING will relish the speed that appears to be evident in this race. He traditionally has had small preps and has been successful with them. He had three starts for two victories in his last campaign. The son of Eighth Wonder was given a soft barrier trial over 1045m at Randwick and looked fit. He boasts excellent first up, course and distance credentials and is expected to take a power of beating.

RELIGIFY is the stable mate and looks the biggest danger to our on top selection. The son of Choisir has been in strong form since stepping up to the longer sprint journey and is drawn to receive all of the favours from barrier three.

GOD'S IN HIM resumes after a good campaign in the first half of the season where he recorded a close second to Vashka in the Group 2 Shannon Stakes. His trials were very good and he has a strong first up record. He can certainly finish in the top 3 from barrier six.

ROCKOLICIOUS has improved with each run this campaign and can’t be too far away from a victory. From barrier one, with only 52.5kg with the claim to Taylor Marshall, she should get all the favours through the early stages and could cause an upset.

SELECTIONS: No3 START WONDERING, No1 Religify, No2 God’s In Him, No8 Rockolicious

R7 3.25pm LORD MAYORS CUP 2000m

LADY LE FAY capitalised on a sharp drop in grade when saluting over this trip at Randwick just 12 days ago. That race looked ideally set up for the mare and she duly took advantage. This is a tougher assignment but she should have taken a lot of confidence from that performance.

INDEX LINKED improved dramatically second up, flashing home to finish second in the JRA Plate. The distance will suit him perfectly and, from barrier six, he should get the ideal run. He historically performs well third up.

SHOREHAM ran in the Hawkesbury Cup last Saturday and just had to do too much work. Stepping up to 2000m and being fourth up are two positives. Going back through his form, he has backed up within 10 days on several occasions to result in a win, a couple of placings and a fourth. The stats are in his favour to perform well.

WEARY produced the best result he has delivered for some time when a slender second to Lady Le Fay last start. He gets a 2kg weight swing on the mare and has to have a chance of turning the tables.

HAWKSPUR ran over this trip at Randwick on Anzac Day and got bogged down by the 61.5kg when finishing midfield behind Lady Le Fay. The run behind Guardini in the JRA Plate was very good on the wrong part of the track. So, with some luck here and from barrier one, he could be the sharp improver at big odds.

SELECTIONS: No11 LADY LE FAY, No2 Index Linked, No12 Shoreham, No4 Weary
VALUE RUNNER: No7 Hawkspur
Lady Le Fay - 1pt @ 3.80

R8 4.05pm PRO-RIDE HANDICAP 1100m

DAYSEE DOOM should get the perfect run from barrier four. The filly has commenced her career in perfect fashion, winning at Hawkesbury and Canterbury by a combined margin of 5.8 lengths. This is again tougher for the daughter of Domesday, however, she certainly looks progressive enough to take it in her stride and make it three from three.

ZELDA resumed in that race that race at Canterbury which was won by Daysee Doom and her effort was very good from the back in a race dominated by speed. She needs a bit of luck through the early stages but she should improve second up.

BUTTERBOOM has performed well in each of her two starts this campaign and has since had a trial to make sure that she is ready to go for this assignment. She’s third up now and gets 3kg off her back with the claim to Andrew Adkins.

AEGEAN SEA didn’t appear to like the soft track last start at Canterbury. Two starts prior to that, she won impressively at Wyong on a good track. So, she should improve dramatically here.

SELECTIONS: No11 DAYSEE DOOM, No12 Zelda, No4 Butterboom, No8 Aegean Sea
VALUE RUNNER: No12 Zelda
Daysee Doom - 1pt @ 3.40

R9 4.45pm HYLAND RACE COLOURS HANDICAP 1500m

SANTA ROCKS could take some beating after she almost stole the race last start. She should again be in a prominent position as they turn for home from barrier two. Third up, her fitness should be at the level good enough to win. MONTAUK has been fair in his three starts this campaign. The gelding now has Blinkers applied for the first time which could perhaps be the extra incentive that he has needed. However, barrier 17 with 60.5kg does make this a tough assignment. MOHER was placed at this course and distance last start. Jumping from barrier 20 once the emergencies come out is going to test his ability but he will appreciate the 3kg off his back with Andrew Adkins riding. SO WILLIE resumed in impressive fashion a fortnight ago, finishing second before Sir Bacchus over 1200m at big odds. He will enjoy the 1500m and does have a good record second -up.
