Geelong R1 No.9 - WOOHOO
Thought the filly was really good returning fresh at Colac over the 1000m when only beaten by a smart one, jumped well and controlled things throughout before fitness just told late. That jump/run style will suit on the synthetic surface and it's pleasing to see her stick at the 1000m. With natural improvement she'll no doubt strip fitter and be very hard to beat.

Geelong R2 No.4 - BELMONT TURF BELLE
Impressed by the improvement she showed third-up at Kyneton three weeks ago, didn't have everything go to suit and not convinced she genuinely ran out the trip. Like the drop back to 1300m and on a surface that favours those handy to the speed she'll go very close. Would like to see her go straight to the front from the good draw and give them no chance to run her down, rock-hard fit so keen to see J.Noonan take advantage of that.

Geelong R4 No.9 - PALAZZO PITTI
Filly taking on the older horses but this is a very limited bunch and she's clearly the one on the up. Thought she ran well at Kyneton two weeks ago when she got back off a muddling tempo and found the line nicely. Winner had it all her way on-speed so the fact she made ground against the pattern gives merit to the effort. Should be close to her peak third-up and do think they'll be more positive from the jump. Carries no weight and maps to win it.

Hawkesbury R2 No.3 - ADHERE
Think this is just the best horse in the race quite clearly, was something of a certainty beaten at a short quote when at Newcastle three weeks ago over the 1150m, just couldn't find room when needing to improve but when faced with clean air did run through the line strongly. Like the progression to 1300m and drawing out wont hurt on this surface as I expect they'll again be getting off the fence.

Hawkesbury R4 No.4 - BLACK DENIM
Former Victorian filly now with up-and-coming Sydney trainer Michael Costa. Jumped out at Warwick Farm 29/4 over 793m on a soft surface and absolutely brained them, look to do it with a bit up her sleeve too so fancy fresh over the 1000m she can go very close. Happy to bet around the short priced favourite as this filly clearly looks to have come back well, if she can find the lead I reckon will have enough of a break to make it very difficult to run her down.
