Geelong R1 No.6 - KENEDNA

Was an easing favourite on debut at Bendigo two weeks ago but did chase well, winner looks smart and basically led all the way (as was the pattern) so her effort to make ground was good. Fancy she takes plenty of benefit from the run and the step up in trip will suit. Should get the right run from the gate and rail out here will suit those making ground down the centre of the track, ticks plenty of boxes.

Geelong R3 No.10 - SCHWARZLEGGA

Thought she trialled really well 6/5 at Flemington over 800m, towed up throughout under her own steam and looked to have plenty in the tank. Inside draw makes things interesting, if she can jump and find the lead then she'll be mighty hard to run down, but does look tractable enough to take a sit and come over the top (will need to get off the fence). She looks a metro-class filly and can overcome a limited bunch.

Geelong R7 No.6 - BON'S GHOST

Big, gross horse who was enormous fresh at Cranbourne a month ago over the 1000m. Couldn't keep up with the early speed but absolutely flew home late to come over the top, think he's a better horse suited to the 1200m and sting-out/drawn wide he ticks all the right boxes. Like he's been kept on the fresh side, too and speed looks genuine enough on paper to allow those making ground even more favours!

Wagga R1 No.9 - CENTRAL PASS

Debuted back in December in a very good 2yo maiden thats produced going forward, was tipped out and then only okay returning a couple of weeks ago at Bendigo. Was quite pleased with his recent trial though at Tatura, did it under his own steam easily winning by 4 lengths. This is a very poor race and going Sydney-way of going for the first time may just spark him up. Inside draw/on the minimum at the weights will see him run well at a good price

Cranbourne R1 No.7 - SHILOPATH

Ignore recent failure at Bendigo in what was a decent field when he clearly had an issue, appeared to choke down mid-race hence the performance. Key here seeing the tongue-tie go on along with a cross-over noseband. So hopefully breathing issues are dealt with. Going off his debut at Terang in a slick form race, he would be hard to beat here. Finished within a length of Oregons Day (recent city winner) which is good enough to see him get the job done.

Cranbourne R6 No.3 - THINK ALIKE

His debut win at Pakenham at a huge price was just superb, just put them away when asked to extend and looked like he had more to offer. Can't see him taking any harm from that effort, has been kept a touch fresh between starts (useful for debutants) and he's drawn to sit off the early speed and again be strong late. Ran slick time (quickest of the four 1200m events) and Prontezza (finished 7th lengths off!) has since come out and won by 4 lengths eased down, he could be smart this horse.
