Werribee R1 No.11 - YOU'VE NO IDEA
Really liked her return fresh at Horsham over 1200m, got back off the early speed and managed to sustain a good run from the 600m to go down under a length. Betting suggested she might need the right and to the eye that looked to be the case, strips fitter for the effort and being by Savabeel I suggest the sting out of the track wont be an issue. Wide draw should be ok as she'll get back and look to make ground down the centre of the track (pattern should suit). Like the progression to 1400m, too.

Werribee R2 No.13 - WEEKEND
Thought she was well placed to get the job done first-up at Donald but after blowing the start, that went out the window. With that in mind she did make good ground late in a race dominated by the leader. Takes plenty of benefit out of the run and back on her home deck/sting out, she gets things to suit. Expect her to be much handier to the early speed rolling forward from the wide draw and as a result should go close!

Newcastle R5 No.9 - HITTITE (x2 NAP)
Thought she was pretty good making ground in a slick race on debut at Canterbury two weeks ago over 1250m, winner was handy and form out of the race has been good (runner-up should have bolted in today!). Typical Waller where we'll see the horse improve drastically (only had the one trial) and 1300m will suit. Will again go back but the track here at Newcastle should give her every chance to reel off a big last 400m, should win and might be worth following to a mile!

Pakenham R1 No.7 - STREET OPERA
Reckon she's got some upside v. a pretty limited bunch here tonight, has progressed nicely with each run this prep but really improved when 1500m to 2000m at Mornington, went well sticking on gamely and fitness just told late. Winner is a decent enough off-season stayer who'd run around at $1.10 here. Big tick she improves drastically second go at the distance, should get the job done.

Pakenham R3 No.7 - SACRED THEME
Was a deadset CERTAINTY beaten at Sandown two weeks ago over the 1400m, was shuffled back to last, jock took forever to get going, but when he did - absolutely rattled home with some enormous late splits. Gets to a mile which will suit and the opposition are nothing to really be afraid of. All he needs is clean air to be winning this, would be helpful if he can position up a pair or two closer in the run (he can) and Caulfield horses love the poly track surface. Ticks all the boxes.

Pakenham R7 No.3 - A PRIVATE PARTY (each-way)
Rob Blacker has this horse absolutely flying, so much so he looked like he was in no-mans land at Geelong over the 1000m two weeks ago and yet found a way to win (with 63.5kgs!!). Drops 5kgs at the weights and draws for the charmed run two pairs back, he's a jet on the Synthetic and is clearly going well enough to win this. Beat a smart one in his latest outing and can give a sight tonight at huge odds.
