Tom Gilmore had two more winners yesterday, he's got three from Geelong today and three from Cranbourne.
Geelong Race One
Finished on the heels of some gallopers who'd run around at $1.40 in this today earlier this year, effort when beating Her Command (wasn't far off a real smart one) would have her going close. Has been given some what of a freshen up and winkers go on for her return this afternoon. Home track and should get the right run tracking the leaders through from the inside draw. Good enough to win this very average race.
Geelong Race Two
She's an out and out stayer, goes against our formula jumping from 1300m to 1900m but fancy she's good/dour enough to get it done. Has progressed nicely with each run this prep and now gets to a much more suitable trip. Was competitive with G1 competitive fillies in the spring last year out to distances similar to this, if she can position up midfield and look to improve from the 600m she'll be winning.
Geelong Race Five
Dont mind the big weight and pretty keen off his recent effort at 1900m here two weeks ago he can get it done again. Pushed forward and basically never looked in any sort of danger throughout. Barrier 2/big weight Parnham will again be positive early, if he can take a position and build momentum from the 800m in clean air he'll be get the job done again.
Cranbourne Race Two
Built a perfect base at 1300m/1700m/1900m for this assignment at 2000m. Made good ground late from the right position in running at Geelong two weeks ago and has shown he's adept on soft tracks (Warrnambool run was enormous). Gets the right in transit not spending a penny and should be peaking physically tonight. Has beaten recent winner (Balfs Choice) and just missed to a host of other winners. Nice off-season stayer.
Cranbourne Race Three
We've been with her and she's proven costly on each occasion to date. To be fair she's run very well and just found a decent one who's had her measure on each occasion. Reckon this is as poor a race as she's found and the sting out will suit her. Should get a charmed run on-speed and if she can't get it done tonight, we might be looking for psychiatric assistance! With that in mind she's our NAP and we'll be doubling our bet.
Cranbourne Race Six
He's a big doper bugger, but has plenty of promise. Was scintillating here a month ago when making ground from the rear of the field to absolutely monster his rivals. Like he's been kept fresh (clearly goes well with runs spaced) and he gets the tempo that should suit those running on. Form out of his Cranbourne win has been quite good and if anything he'll be much better balancing up over the 1200m. Can progress to town this prep
