Hamilton R3 No.12 - LIBERTINE MISS

Thought she went ok first-up at Cranbourne over the 1000m off the back of a good trial at the same venue. Jumped well and settled behind the leader (eventual winner) and basically held the margin all the way to the line. Not sure she enjoyed being on the inside of horses so gate 5 should give her the chance to box seat and peel to the outside when looking to improve. With the run under her belt should be very hard to beat and no issue extra 100m (suits if anything).

Hamilton R6 No.9 - MISS INSOMNIA

Honest mare who got the job done at Horsham three weeks ago over the 1200m and in this sort of grade, winning form is good form. Drops 2kgs for the win thanks to the claim from in-form apprentice Melissa Julius and should be forward from the wide draw. The wide alley might not be an issue as heavy track should see them making ground towards the centre of the track. If pattern suits she'll again go close. 5th run of the prep so safe to assume she's now at her top!

Hamilton R8 No.3 - FELLSPUR

He's been racing in good form of late, especially like his effort to hit the line at Ballarat two weeks ago over the mile in much better company than this (winner Four By Four raced in elite company last Spring) and they did record good time. Speed on paper looks genuine enough for him to be strong late and do assume by the last they'll be getting well of the fence so wide marble no issue. Forgiving of failure on a Heavy10 at Warrnambool and prepared to say he'll give us a sight at a genuine each-way price.
