Bairnsdale races have been transferred to Pakenham synthetic, take a look who Tom Gilmore is backing!
Did plenty of work to find the front at at Warracknabeal on a bog track over 1200m, his effort to stick on under the circumstances was good and back to 1000m on the pro-ride looks a terrific formula (had trialled well on this surface previously!). Should again roll to the front and take plenty of catching, interesting to see a tongue-tie go on (had choked down before?).
He was beaten by a very smart one fresh at Ballarat off a superb trial, fancy getting back on top of the ground will suit him and he takes good benefit from the run. Like three weeks between runs and the wide draw, too. They'll be positive and he may prove too slick!
This is an interesting one returning for the first time since his win on debut in January, looked like he had no idea what he was doing but still managed to do the job. Been given time to further mature and looked quite slick in a recent jump-out at Cranbourne (23/5). He might be a nice horse to follow over the coming months.
