Geelong R2 No.6 - BARR HILL

This is absurdly open with NINE debutants, of that, thought this fella was the most impressive of the lot. Went forward 10/5 over 700m at Caulfield in a jump-out and looked like he wanted to get it all over and done with ASAP, showed great early speed which is essential in these races over 1000m. Looked to have plenty in the tank when just clicked up in the last 50m, could be a perfect jump/run candidate here.

Geelong R3 No.5 - FROTHED

She trialled very well at Cranbourne recently and looks to have somewhat of a class edge on this lot. Her efforts north of border were actually quite good, got within half-a-length of Dixie Chick at Newcastle (since been a genuine metro-class horse) which is form thats easily good enough for this. Maps for the PR (perfect run) of the race, too.

Geelong R5 No.1 - BELLOMO

Looks a great race for this gelding who returns for the first time since early February, he's got some talent this bloke and has been thereabouts with much better horses than this (within 4 lengths of Heatherly at Moonee Valley last time at 1000m). Trialled up quietly on a bog track at Cranbourne recently and has been a winner on the pro-ride previously. Not concerned by the weight as I think he's just better than these.

Geelong R7 No.4 - MAJESTIC LASS

Good race and this is a nice filly, genuine metropolitan-class galloper and this looks a great race to kick off her prep with. Got within two lengths of Mossin Around (runner-up in G2 Angus Armanasco since) at Flemington down the straight earlier this year which is outstanding form. Should just sit mid-field with cover, peel at the 600m and be too good.
Majestic Lass - 1pt @ 1.90

Geelong R10 No.1 - SNITZELWOOD (each-way)

He was 1600m to 1900m for the first-time here ten days ago and gave plenty of cheek, fitness just told late with the big weight (understandably so). Winner Doom N Boom since stepped up to win in BM70 grade and fancy he's got improvement to come (like second crack at the trip). Will be on-speed and take catching, getting very appealing each-way price to find out!
Snitzelwood - 0.5pt e/w @ 6.50
