Pakenham R2 No.7 - SUPER MARIO

Is an import from across the ditch making his debut for the Alderson stable today, last run was a month ago so should carry good residual fitness and should have no dramas with the trip. Might just have a bit more upside than a few of these and keen he'll run well fresh.
Super Mario - 1pt @ 4.40

Pakenham R3 No.3 - EL DORADO MINE

First start for new stable (M.Price) and has jumped-out really well for this return, like his Sydney form around the likes of Yulong Ambition/Supply And Demand (both city horses) and his racing pattern will suit the pro-ride (should go forward). He's better than this grade of racing.
El Dorado Mine - 1pt @ 2.45

Pakenham R4 No.6 - STORMCRAFT (x2 NAP)

Went enormously on debut for D.Weir over a very unsuitable 1000m at Bendigo three weeks ago, made ground/sustained a run on a day when it was difficult to figure in the finish if you weren't handy. Gets the right run on the map and 1200m/fitter should see him very hard to beat. Crossed the line with Swiss Kiss (should have won again recently).
Stormcraft - 2pt @ 2.75

Canterbury R7 No.3 - BRACES

Has had the right sort of preparation to final breakthrough at his third go over 1900m, was only nabbed late by Pirate Ben here two weeks ago (flying) and there doesn't look to be as genuine a tempo on paper here. Like that he's drawn out as they'll again roll forward and on a shifting surface late in the day it could prove fairly difficult to make ground. Will ramp it up from the 800m and be there for a long way.
Braces - 1pt @ 7.00
