Sandown R1 No.7 - BRUGAL REWARD

She's proven to be a tough little 2yo filly this girl, went super here two weeks ago over the 1000m and was just pipped by a very smart debutant who I fancy will be winning better races than that. Reckon she can catch a few key rivals on the hop from a fitness edge point of view and does map for the PR of the race. Drops 1.5kgs at the weights and looks very hard to beat.

Sandown R2 No.6 - THE DYNAMO

Thought this fella trialled up exceptionally at Caulfield 21/6 over 750m, jumped well from the wide draw and was basically under a stranglehold throughout (ran good time). He goes super fresh and all four of his wins have been over the 1000m. Just missed at Sale earlier this year to Illustrious Lad (since won $100,000 race in Adelaide). Should find the front and take catching!
The Dynamo - 1pt @ 6.00

Sandown R3 No.5 - AVENUE WHISPER

Went super in a high rating race at Flemington two weeks ago this filly, got within three lengths of a seriously promising horse in Euro Angel (Group-class!) and did beat home recent Saturday winner Lady Selkirk. Like she's drawn for the box-seat run in transit and does get in well relative weights thanks to the M.Dee claim. Bolted in on a bog track at Cranbourne a month ago, so going no issue. First-time at the mile (she's by Street Cry) shouldn't pose too much of a mountain either.
Avenue Whisper - 1pt @ 2.80

Sandown R4 No.8 - SCAPA COVE (x2 NAP)

Racing in outstanding form this 5yo gelding, his effort here two weeks ago over the 1400m was totally hampered by an inside draw on a day when it was total poison to be anywhere near the fence. The fact he stuck on against the pattern gives plenty of merit to the effort, and absolutely rejoicing to see him draw out in 10. He'll sit midfield and look to strong late over the top, form prior to latest outing at Ballarat stood up in town at Flemington!
Scapa Cove - 1pt @ 5.00

Sandown R7 No.8 - OUR TURN (each-way)

In good form this mare, liked her recent effort at Ballarat on a bottomless track over a mile when doing all the donkey-work on speed (on a day when it was favourable to be swooping) and only being nabbed late. Reckon she can find the lead quite comfortably here and if she bowls along (solid midrace splits) and can pinch a break at the bend, she could take running down at a big price.
Our Turn - 0.5pt @ 9.50

Warwick Farm R1 No.3 - KINGSGUARD

Did all the work on-speed here at The Farm for his AUS debut and looked home at the 100m before being nabbed late, he clearly takes good benefit physically (only had the one trial leading in/soft) and progression to a mile helps. He'll again roll forward and be very hard to beat, this isn't an overly strong affair.
Kingsguard - 1pt @ 2.60

Warwick Farm R7 No.6 - QUICK DEFENCE (each-way)

The market certainly knew this fella was nowhere near ready to fire on his Australian debut at Canterbury three weeks ago, was a huge drifter in betting and ran accordingly. Interesting that Race Plates go on for the first time (may have had a hoof issue?) which is a terrific sign he's well in the legs, his also definitely better suited to a mile (UK Form/Royal Ascot within 3 lengths in Britannia Stakes). Could be a real improver and getting value to find out.
Quick Defence - 0.5pt @ 13.00
