R1 12.23pm Two-Years-Old Handicap 1200m

These July midweek two year olds are usually strong because stables are chasing the last of the QTIS bonus money.

This is no different although Buffering's younger brother DOWNLOADING was most impressive winning first up at Doomben and will be improved.

EVE'S JET has been going well in easier races and DIVINE DICE was a good Gold Coast winner.

If the track is genuinely wet GENERAL ASSAULT has a chance as he is much better in soft going.

SELECTIONS: NO1 DOWNLOADING, NO6 EVE'S JET, NO2 DIVINE DICE, NO3 GENERAL ASSAULT

VALUE RUNNER: NO3 GENERAL ASSAULT
Downloading - 1pt @ 2.25

R2 12.53pm Two-Years-Old Handicap 1200m

DAMN FINE is Downloading's stablemate and won the other heat of the two year-old at Doomben two weeks ago. If anything he was slightly more impressive than Downloading.

COLLYWOBBLE had good form last campaign and is the obvious danger. Has not had an official trial but reportedly jumped out well recently.

BELOSO ran a very good fourth in a top quality race in December and had a nice quiet trial recently.

KIT DE LUCA was specked at good odds at first start and had no luck. Might be the improver here.

SELECTIONS: NO1 DAMN FINE, NO2 COLLYWOBBLE, NO3 BELOSO, NO8 KIT DE LUCA

VALUE RUNNER: NO8 KIT DE LUCA
Damn Fine - 1pt @ 5.50

R3 1.23pm Maiden Handicap 1200m

A good midweek maiden with CAFE TERRACE very close to a win. Something of a professional placegetter but gets his chance here.

UH OH was very good last time in a similar race and MOVING PRESS was run down on the line in much the same company as this last time.

BIDZIL looked like being smart and then broke down badly. At her first run back last start she was terrific when fourth. She just needs to reproduce that here to be a hope.

SELECTIONS: NO2 CAFE TERRACE, NO4 UH OH, NO3 MOVING PRESS, NO5 BIDZIL.

VALUE RUNNER: NO 5 BIDZIL
Cafe Terrace - 1pt @ 3.60

R4 1.53pm Three-Year-Old Fillies Maiden 1200m

GOLDEN FUTURE came from a mile back when third last start and this bigger track will suit.

CHOOSE THE MOMENT has been a consistent placegetter and looks to be one of the main chances.

The fact OPINIONATED is still a maiden is a surprise because she has run well in much better races than this. She has trialled nicely and on her day would nearly win this but always strikes trouble.

STRATUZY was second in a maiden to horse which then came out and won a Saturday race on Tatts Cup day. Also hard to beat on that run.

SELECTIONS: NO3 GOLDEN FUTURE, NO2 CHOOSE THE MOMENT, NO6 OPINIONATED, NO10 STRATUZY

VALUE RUNNER: NO6 OPINIONATED
Golden Future - 1pt @ 7.00

R5 2.23pm Fillies and Mares Benchmark 75 1200m

A hard race to predict because several of the better chances are first up. Have gone with one of them in ROSELLA who looked like being top flight as a two year-old. Injury problems have restricted her since but she does go well fresh and trialled okay recently.

PRIMED FOR DESTINY won at good odds last start and she does like wet or soft tracks. She has a big finish so should be suited here.

SAAMI JANE has been racing in far stronger company and back in mares grade here.

RUMERON's form looks ordinary on paper but it is better than it looks. She has raced in much better company and wasn't bad in a stakes race last time.

SELECTIONS: NO5 ROSELLA, NO7 PRIMED FOR DESTINY, NO2 SAAMI JAIN, NO6 RUMERON

VALUE RUNNER: NO6 RUMERON
Rosella - 1pt @ 4.20

R6 2.53pm Benchmark 75 1200m

DON'T DENY US is back in his right grade here and should prove hard to hold out. He didn't fire a shot in a good Saturday race last time but go on his two previous wins.

BUSHY was terrible in his last few runs before a spell. But he is good fresh and this type of race suits. No official trials for him but reportedly working well.

CARTON has a lot potential and just needs some luck here.

MOMENT OF IMPACT should also find this easier than last start. He should be on the pace most of the way.

SELECTIONS: DON'T DENY US, NO2 BUSHY, NO1 CARTON, NO8 MOMENT OF IMPACT

VALUE RUNNER: NO 2 BUSHY
Don't Deny Us - 1pt @ 9.00

R7 3.23pm Fillies and Mares Class 3 Plate 1400m

FLIRTATIOUS FEMME won her first two starts and then handy in a stakes race last time. It really was a good run because before the race she dumped her jockey in the walkway to the track turned around and did a few laps of the saddling enclosure!

PINBALL DAWN doesn't win too often but gets in well at the Plate conditions.

HAD ME HELLO has been consistent and JE SUIS PREST also consistent without having any luck.

SELECTIONS: NO2 FLITRTATIOUS FEMME, NO10 PINBALL DAWN, NO7 HAD ME AT HELLO, NO4 JE SUIS PREST

VALUE RUNNER: NO10 PINBALL DAWN
Flirtatious Femme - 1pt @ 3.60

R8 3.53pm Class 3 Handicap 1400m

A race where the best way to describe most of the field is "hard to catch". On their day they are good on their other days forget them. The trick is to work out which day. So last start maiden winner ARTETA looks the way to go here. He came from a long way back to win so this track will suit and he is very well bred.

PLANET AMERICA is resuming and trialled okay while MOTION GRANTED and KINGTANTES have the talent to win but as we said who knows!

SELECTIONS: NO11 ARTETA, NO2 PLANET AMERICA, NO3 MOTION GRANTED, NO5 KINGTANTES

VALUE RUNNER: NO2 PLANET AMERICA
Arteta - 1pt @ 9.00

R9 4.23pm Benchmark 75 1600m

OLD SMOKEY needs plenty of pace on but when he get it he can rattle home. This should suit very well.

COMACINA is finding it very hard to win but he is consistent and it must be his turn soon.

SANKARA SPIRIT was backed as though the race was over last start but was gone on the home turn. This is far easier.

FUSINA a good winner last time and this looks a nice race for him at the weights.

SELECTIONS: NO8 OLD SMOKEY, NO2 COMACINA, NO10 SANKARA SPIRIT, NO12 FUSINA

VALUE RUNNER: NO12 FUSINA
Old Smokey - 1pt @ 7.50
