Sandown R1 No.3 - COMADI

Big tick this fella fourth-up/mile with the blinkers going on, has been tardy away at his previous two outings (1200m/1400m) but managed to certainly do his best work late. Was a certainty beaten at Pakenham two weeks ago when never finding clean air until it was all over, final 200m split was very slick and suggests he's ready to win. Blinkers final piece of the puzzle and no issues getting through testing going.

Sandown R2 No.1 - BEIRUT

Absolutely ran them off there legs here two months ago over the 1200m on a soft track, won comfortably and ran slick time doing so. Then went to Cranbourne and again did all the donkey work on-speed (favoured leaders) but managed to prove too sharp for them again. He's been given six weeks to get over those two fairly arduous runs and suggest if he's freshened well he'll again take a mountain of catching, pattern to suit, too!

Sandown R5 No.3 - SWISS KISS

Was 1000m to 1200m second-up on a bog track at Ballarat and went super, just found one better and was left a sitting duck late (that horse went on to run well in town). Reckon she'll take good benefit from the hit-out, had physical improvement in her and like she's drawn out and gets a nice little pull in the weights thanks to the J.Bayliss claim. Did dead-heat with a real promising one fresh.

Sandown R6 No.3 - MOVIE (x2 NAP)

She hit the line like a horse who'll win a good race this prep when returning at Mornington a month ago, it most certainly wasn't the day to be swooping and yet she made terrific ground. She was fierce mid-race/had her mouth open and really gave R.Bayliss a rough time of it, she then crabbed round the bend to then straighten up and run through the line brilliantly. Better for the run/yes to 1300m!

Sandown R7 No.16 - LONGKISSGOODNIGHT

Jumped-out very nicely prior to returning at Geelong on the pro-ride two weeks ago, was early favourite but was a drifter in betting and tactics in running were certainly questionable. Think she'll take good benefit from the hit-out and like the wide draw at this point of the afternoon. She's run exceptionally in two high-rating races here at Sandown previously so track no issue, she's got good upside against a fairly average bunch.

Canterbury R2 No.1 - MEDITTERANEAN

Competitive at G2 level in both his debut outings behind what proved to be a few very smart customers, run in the Pago Pago behind Souchez (4rd G1 J.J Atkins since) rated very well and is easily good enough to win this. Has had the two trials in preparation for his return and both have been exceptional (latest Randwick 24/6), he looks like he's come back a more physically and mentally mature horse - has a good race in him this prep.
Meditteranean - 1pt @ 1.65

Canterbury R7 No.2 - FORTUNE PATCH

Thought his win at Warwick Farm three weeks ago was superb, he drew the carpark, showed scintillating early speed to lead and never looked like getting chased down from there. Beat home the 3rd horse (Obsidian) by over 3 lengths and that galloper was recently unlucky in an $85,000 race in town. Strikes very similar conditions again here today and looks the leader on paper. Proven trip/going and should take beating!
