Murtoa R3 No.3 - CENTENARY SHOT

South Australian making the trip across the border after going very well second-up on a bog track at Bordertown 9 days ago, settled worse than midfield and make good ground late (ran through the line) to just miss. Reckon a mile will suit him down to the ground and proven through the going/takes good benefit are major ticks. Not sure he enjoyed the inside marble at latest outing, so drawing out suits.

Murtoa R4 No.9 - BRAEVIEW MISS

Another SA raider looking for her maiden victory, thought shes been ok with each step-up in trip, started at 1100m which proved too short but has found more getting to 1300m. First-time at the mile but gives every indication that she'll relish it and her two latest efforts have been good fitness builders on bog tracks. Gets the box-seat (PR) in transit and shouldn't have any excuses. Like the 9 day turnaround for her.

Murtoa R7 No.6 - THE BLONDE ALIBI (x2 NAP)

She's been a metro-class mare in recent preps and her return on the pro-ride at Geelong was terrific in better company than this. If anything is further improved back onto the turf, and specifically soft tracks (won well on debut at only heavy-track run!). Like she's drawn out later in the card, should roll forward and sit three-deep/A-ground and be too good.

Murtoa R9 No.1 - PARWAN PRINCE

Talented horse but has had his issues in the past, reckon he's back on track going by latest jump-out at Caulfield (28/6 over 800m/heavy track) in what was the slickest time of the morning by some way - he jumped well, settled and extended under riding to run well through the line. His run at the Warrnambool carnival was better than what it looked, they ran good time and he just couldn't go with a few fit/smart ones. Strikes a very soft race and gets the right run in transit, hard to beat!
