Tom Gilmore starts the week with three tips from Mildura.
Debuted on a bottomless track about a month ago and went ok (no trial prior to assess), but did really improve second-up getting on top of the ground here two weeks ago over the 1200m. Settled worse than midfield and made a sustained run to hit the line nicely (against the pattern) which proved she's got her hoof on the till. Can improve again to 1300m and does look to probably sit a pair closer in transit, just needs clean air and she'll win.
Was six weeks between runs when winning here over the 1200m two weeks ago, beat a fairly handy debutant who will be winning shortly and 3rd horse since should have won at Murtoa. Reckon she clearly takes good benefit from the outing and like the fact she's drawn wide again, nicely in relative weights thanks to the claim from J.Grob and keen she strings a few together now. Won in good time on the day at latest hitout!
Went super first-up six weeks ago at Sandown in Saturday grade over the 1000m before being a forgivable failure on a bog track at Ballarat a month ago. Didn't get through the ground at all and like they've kept him fresh. His form at Moonee Valley around the then flying Sir Bible (ran in G1 Goodwood) late last year over 1200m is easily good enough (rated huge) to win this, and wide draw if anything is a plus. He'll roll forward and third-up take a power of beating.
