Tom Gilomore's got six tips for his loyal followers today.
Have really liked recent efforts in good company, latest hit-out was terrific only going down 0.5 lengths (in a race that rated ok!) to the promising Calibrate, who has since run very well in town. Like he's been kept fresh and the booking of D.Lane is a major positive, gets the PR of the race in transit and really should be a touch too good.
No.4 - ROBBIE'S STAR - 1pt @ 3.3
They took the blinkers off him when progressing to 1400m and it was a disaster, keen to forgive/forget that and assess of runs prior (with the shades going back on). His two debut runs for Weir in BM78 company have been excellent, just found one better on each occasion. Recipe today back to the 1300m will suit and we know he gets through testing surfaces. Rolls forward from the wide alley and proves hard to beat!

Went super in town last start when making significant ground agains the pattern over the 2000m, was an enormous effort which gave every indication that a progression to 2400m would suit down to the ground. No issue getting through a sticky surface, bar falling he should simply win this. Rates easily above his rivals here.

Thought she was fairly good fresh at Warracknabeal despite copping what I thought was a poor ride, was asked to improve/quicken a long way from home and as a result ran out of steam late. She should have won that (had trialled well leading in), but fancy it tops her off nicely for this afternoon. Like they stick at the 1200m and with the winkers on she should roll to the front and take catching, should find the heavy track ok.
No.12 - WE ARE BOMBER FANS - 1pt @ 3.2
He ran out of juice fresh at Murtoa on a bog track when hustled to take the early lead, set up nicely for a fit/smart one in behind them to extend away late. Like he had the hit-out though (improves physically) and the blinkers going on for the first time will no doubt sharpen him up that final notch or two, don't think he'll reach the heights I thought he would early, but wide draw/back to 1100m today is a winning recipe. Can rate to win this.
