Pakenham R1 No.2 - CONGRESSIONAL
Thought his debut was actually quite good, he was slowly away/settled towards the rear but managed to make a sustained run to it the line nicely over 1100m (too short). The race was dominated by those on-speed so reckon theres plenty of merit to the performance. Like the progression to 1400m and from the favourable marble suggest he may even take closer order mid-race. Can be too strong for them late.

Pakenham R2 No.10 - THE HOUSEMAID
Liked her effort when second-up on the pro-ride at Geelong, just couldn't quite go with a really smart winner (who has won again since in town and looks a Group-class horse!). Runner-up has since come out and run well, don't mind the break between runs either, along with the progression to 1400m she looks very tough to beat. Gets all the favours box-seating from gate 2!

Pakenham R5 No.3 - CINNAMON CARTER
Three from three at the 2200m and all of those wins have been here at Pakenham! Reckon a 4kg rise at the weights isn't enough to stop her on the back of her latest win, box-seated and really kicked clear when asked for an effort. Meets a lot of those here today and I really can't see them turning the tables on her. Inside draw again, and all she'll need is a touch of luck when looking to improve.
Cinnamon Carter - 1pt @ 2.10
Pakenham R7 No.5 - GANGNAM STYLE
He gets in superbly well at the weights after the claim from E.Brown, thought his run fresh on a bog track at Bendigo over 1000m was good (despite being ridden dead colt), he then went to The Valley and was out of the race in the second-half of the field on what was an on-pacers day. Forgiving of that and keen to 1200m he'll take beating. Did run the G1 class 3yo Supido to 2 lengths at Moonee Valley over 1200m earlier this year, that form is good enough.
Gangnam Style - 1pt @ 5.50
Pakenham R8 No.5 - GIGGLY
She went ENORMOUSLY at Caulfield three weeks ago second-up over the 1400m, tracked a really genuine tempo and then was very green when asked to improve. Reckon the ride was fairly questionable, should have easily finished top 3, but nevertheless. Her final 100m when she flattened out was terrific, gave every indication that a mile would suit her down to the ground and a big track like Pakenham should give her plenty of time to wind up, like she's drawn favourably, too!
Giggly - 1pt @ 2.80
Sunshine Coast R3 No.2 - OFFENSIVE PLAY
Haven't seen any trial of his to assess for this but his record fresh is outstanding (2 from 2). Bolted in here earlier this year when resuming over 1100m before winning again, and then went to town where he had excuses when well supported in the market. Should find the front from the inside marble and pattern should lend itself to those handy to the speed in the first half of the program. Worth a dollar or two each-way.
