Cranbourne R2 No.7 - ONE OVER ROD

Always showed talents at the jump-outs but was clearly wayward, didn't look to have his mind on the job when debuting back in April. Pleasingly he's since been gelded on going off his latest hit-out at Caulfield (2/8) over 750m, he looks a much more switched on racehorse. He jumped beautifully and basically just towed the jockey around the entire trip, wasn't asked to extend at all but went through the line nicely. Can win this fresh over the 1000m, he'll find the front early and take catching!

Cranbourne R4 No.10 - LIVING LARGE

Has been building very well with each run this prep as he steps up in trip, returned a PB rating at latest outing at Sandown when having his first crack over the 1500m, just couldn't quite go with eventual winner Oscars My Mate Pa (since gone well again!) but they totally spaced everything else. Like the wide draw for him, expect they'll be positive early looking to take up a position and he should be at his peak physically (yes second crack at the trip).

Cranbourne R6 No.12 - ROSEBERRY STREET

Lightly raced mare with a bit of upside I reckon, she ran an absolute bottler at a monster price on debut at Sandown back in January over the 1200m and was only nabbed late by two smart ones (one a genuine Saturday metro performer), then went on to win well second-up/soft going at Pakenham. Think here fresh on her home deck from the inside draw we'll see B.Allen be fairly positive, if he can find the front and dictate he could take plenty of catching, she has trialled well!

Cranbourne R8 No.4 - ANGELS TOUCH

Lightly raced mare who has relished getting to a trip this preparation for D.Weir, latest effort two weeks ago at Casterton was extremely dominant, she was a mile to 2000m but never looked troubled whatsoever, she went through the line looking like she had something still up her sleeve (gapped them) and gave every indication she'd be winning again. That was a bog track so clearly the sting out here won't be an issue and she maps for the PR of the race. She'll win this then head back to town.
Angels Touch - 1pt @ 2.70

Gosford R1 No.3 - GADFLY

Keen to stick with the race-fit galloper here, his three runs to date have all been quite good (soft tracks) but has managed to find one better on each occasion. Interesting to see a tongue-tie go on for this (had breathing issues?). His run a month ago at Newcastle actually rated quite well, he got within a length of Decorated Soldier (who then went to Flemington and was v. good) and probably should have finished closer. Ignoring 1350m failure at latest (found the bottom of him) and pleased to see a return to 1200m. He could turn this into a hot 1200m and be too slick

Gosford R6 No.11 - SUPER TOO

Only one kind of form suits the 1000m sprint trips.....and thats 1000m form! This filly is a speedster, she debuted in fine style back in February at Canberra over the five furlongs when jumping straight on the bunny and being too slick (runner-up has been city competitive since), she then went on to perform gamely at G2 level over 1200m (slight query trip) before failing/end of prep again at G2 level. Has been given time to mature/develop and two recent hit-outs suggests she's prime to run well fresh. Rolls to the front from the wide draw and with any luck gets it done.
