CALIFORNIA NIKE did a good job to win on debut at Newcastle. Looks capable of working through the grades and a winning chance again.
TO EXCESS is chasing a fourth win from six career starts including a Gosford victory two runs back when resuming from a let-up. Has to take the step up to midweek city company but hard to knock the winning form.

IT'S A SHAMOZZLE placed in all three runs this time including a runner-up finish at this track and distance last start. Significant weight drop gives him the chance to go one better.
AURORA GLOW is on the quick back up after finishing out of the placings at Rosehill on Saturday. Would rate as one of the key chances if connections tried their luck again.
SNIPER had a big win when resuming three runs back, but was well beaten in two subsequent runs. Drops in weight on last couple and can improve sharply.

ONE TOUCH finished his race off nicely when runner-up at Wyong last start. Should be right at his peak third-up and is a winner at the track and distance.

CRAFTY COP is a Warwick Farm winner and G3 placed in two runs in his first preparation. Wasn't far from the winner at Caulfield when resuming. Fitter here and right up to winning this.
FABRY hasn't finished worse than fourth in 13 career starts and four times a winner. Robert Thompson riding for the family looks a strong lead.

FLEETEOR did a good job to finish on the placegetters’ heels at Rosehill resuming after covering plenty of ground in the run. Better draw here and rates as one of the key chances with the first-up run under her belt.
MERI RANI didn't get the clearest of runs in the straight but still finished fourth in the Interstellar race at Rosehill last start. Looks right up to a race like this.
LA MUSE only clear late at Canterbury when resuming and looked to have something to offer. All the better for the run and just needs even luck in-running to be right in the finish.
