Pakenham R1 No.12 - SEENTO
Debuted over 1400m here two weeks ago, drew and inside marble, and it was race over early. He was crossed and proceeded to over-race ferociously when the leaders put the brakes on, he actually sprinted ok for a furlong before race fitness/spent tickets made race told. Reckon he strips much fitter and takes good benefit from the outing, like they stick at the 1400m and the wide draw will suit him. Reckon he didn't appreciate being crowded, so if he can sit three-deep with cover he can be the one home over the top late.

Pakenham R2 No.5 - TICKETING
Debut back in March over 1200m was slick in what was a good race (winners been a dominant BM70 winner since), forgiving failure second-up to 1400m and then went to Sandown and made good ground against the pattern from an awkward position. Has been given time since and despite the fact I haven't seen him trial, he really rates to be too good for this lot. Like he's drawn out and gains the services of D.Oliver, think he can go on with it this prep.

Pakenham R4 No.6 - DEVILISH DIVA
Went super when another who was a victim of a low draw here two weeks ago over the 1400m, she just couldn't get any room to wind up from the 400m when three back on the pegs, eventually found a split late and went through the line super (splits good). Winner was off and gone, with even luck think she could have tested that horse. Like the draw for her and a progression to a mile looks a natural one.

Pakenham R5 No.2 - BELSAPPHIRE
Went enormous fresh at Geelong two weeks ago over the 1100m, jumped poorly and was caught three/four-deep throughout and was forced to improve towards the outside fence. She had no right to run through the line the way she did (against race shape) and with any sort of luck in transit she wins, was a winner second-up last prep when ridden much handier, suggest N.Hall will look to make use of barrier 5 and possibly find the box seat. If she gets luck she'll win.
Belsapphire - 1pt @ 3.80
Pakenham R9 No.11 - SEW IT SEAMS
Gobbled up a decent enough bunch (2nd/3rd running today and live chances) off what was a dawdling lead time here two weeks ago over the 1400m, race shape certainly didn't suit backmarkers but the way she picked up and savaged the line suggests she might be ready to step up in grade and win. Like the wide draw for her, there looks good speed on paper and if she can find a backside to follow into the race, then she could be the one home over the top late.

Newcastle R3 No.13 - STAR OF MONSOON (x2 NAP)
Made good ground off a tricky run fresh at Canterbury (winner went down narrowly in better company since) over the 1200m, had form around some elite 2yo's in his debut preparation earlier this year which should certainly hold him in good stead for a race like this. Think he certainly needed the run resuming, stable has lofty goals for him this prep, so he'll be winning this before making his way back to town.
