ARALDO JUNIOR gets his chance to extract revenge on Au Revoir after finishing third in a bunched finish over 2500m at Flemington on July 23. He gets into this race on 56.5kg with the 2kg claim of apprentice Jake Bayliss and is the main danger.

BLACK TOMAHAWK is the stable-mate of Au Revoir and gets his chance to turn the tables after finishing a close second to the top-weight at his last encounter over 2500m at Flemington on July 23. Craig Williams retains the ride and he rises only one kilo to 55kg.

ROBBIE’S STAR won twice from his past five starts. At his latest run he ran on well when finishing fourth over 1800m at Sandown on August 10. He drops 2.5kg to 54kg and will have the services of premier jockey Craig Williams.

STEGGLER has been reported to be burning in his track-work. He is an Irish-bred import making his Australian debut for the top stable of Darren Weir and with apprentice Michael Dee’s 1.5kg claim will carry 56.5kg. The market is the best guide here.

MISS DENNI hails from the Sydney yard of top trainer Chris Waller and was impressive first-up when fought hard to finish third in a mares’ handicap with 58.5kg first-up over 1400m at Flemington on August 6. Michael Walker keeps the ride and she won over 1550m at Canterbury last campaign.

CAPRESE ran a great race last start to finish third over 1400m at Caulfield on July 30. Ace jockey Damien Oliver retains the ride and he will again carry 59kg in a competitive race. He should relish the extra 200m.

VIBRANT ROUGE gets some weight relief with the 3kg claim of Beau Mertens reducing her impost to 56kg. She ran hard to finish third over 1200m in a fillies and mares handicap over 1200m at Caulfield last start on July 30. Makes appeal.

ROCKOLICIOUS worked home nicely for jockey Brad Rawiller first-up over 1200m at Caulfield on July 30. She gets a kilo off on 57.5kg on her last start and will strip fitter with Rawiller keeping the ride.

REFUSE TO LOSE has been doing just that claiming two straight wins. She will get plenty of pressure here but will be in the firing line on her last start win over 1200m at Sandown on August 7. Apprentice Michael Dee rides again and she will carry 53.5kg with Dee’s 1.5kg claim.

PICCADILLIES is a half-sister to top sire Fastnet Rock. The daughter of Uncle Mo-Piccadilly Circus won a trial over 800m at Cranbourne last November. Reported to be flying in her track-work and hails from the leading yard of co-trainers Lee and Anthony Freedman.

PRINCESS OF QUEENS hails from the leading juvenile stable of Mick Price. She scored an impressive maiden win at Cranbourne first-up over 1200m on August 11. Senior rider Craig Newitt takes the reins and sure to be in the firing line.

ARIAZ made an impression at her debut campaign to record a win and a second at her two starts. She resumes here off a solid trial over 800m at her home track at Cranbourne on August 8. The rain-affected track is the sole query.

MOTOWN LIL returns to racing here after a fleeting campaign in Adelaide. Had no luck when finishing sixth over 1050m at Morphettville on July 30. Nicholas Hall takes command and she has a good record of three placings at six starts.

KEN’S DREAM streaked away to an emphatic nine length win over 1000m at his debut at Echuca on August 7. This colt hails from the top stables of Darren Weir and he steps up in class here but is suited at 55kg under the set-weight conditions.

VERSTAPPEN made an impressive start to his career with a tearaway 4 ½ length win over 1200m in a maiden at Pakenham on August 5. He was a $2.70 favourite and ace jockey Damien Oliver retains the ride and he is reported to be burning on the work tracks.

THROSSELL is unbeaten at his two starts and makes a strong play here in a competitive field of colts and geldings. He looked imposing at a recent 800m trial at Cranbourne where he posted a one length win on August 8. In-form jockey Nicholas Hall retains the ride.

DAM READY scored an impressive win over 1000m here on February 19. His connections then sent him to Morphettville for the Magic Millions over 1200m where he started a $1.80 favourite but ran fourth in the feature event on March 14. Luke Currie keeps the ride.

ROYAL RAPTURE has won at his past three starts at Flemington. He claimed his last win over 1700m at Flemington on August 6 for apprentice Michael Dee carrying 53.5kg. Dee rides again and he will carry 55.5kg and will relish the sting out of the ground.

CALVIN WILLIAMS will strip fitter on his first up run when working home into seventh place over 1700m at Flemington on August 6. Craig Newitt replaces Harry Coffey on the stallion, who can sneak a place here.

ONPICALO should get to the lead from his draw on the rail. He won here on June 18 and at his last start was a solid effort when finishing fifth over 1800m at Flemington on July 23. Beau Metens 3kg will see him carry just 52.5kg.

PASSING SHOT is a New Zealand galloper who has won three of his past four starts at home. He has top jockey Dwayne Dunn to command at his Australian debut and from barrier five should get a cosy run. Watch the market.

HEATHERLY is a lightly-raced mare who can fly. She has an outstanding first-up record of two starts for a win and a second and from her career nine starts has recorded four wins and four placings. Expect a bold showing at her return.

WILD RAIN is a sharp mare who flew away to win over 1100m first-up at Caulfield on July 16. She is fresh again and Damien Oliver has stuck to the five-year-old, but she must combat a wide alley in (13).

JUNGLE EDGE‘s chances will improve if the track deteriorates. He won at Sandown over 1200m before finishing a good second over 1200m at Caulfield last Saturday. Apprentice Jye McNeil’s 1.5kg claim will reduce his weight to 54.5kg.

NICOSCENE is a track specialist with three wins and three placings at eight starts. He is fresh for this having not run since running fifth over 1200m at Flemington on July 23. Apprentice Michael Dee’s claim will reduce his weight to 55.5kg. His wide gate in (17) is a concern.
