R1 1.45pm MYBOYCHARLIE @ VINERY HANDICAP 2700m
LEVENSES appears to have some upside at the staying caper. Chasing back-to-back wins after a maiden victory at Kembla last start. Looks a case of the further they go the better.
CHAQUINTA has relished the wet tracks in recent starts, winning two of last three. Whether it will be wet enough is a genuine query but hard to knock the winning form.
PYRAMID PRINCE was well beaten on the heavy track at Warwick Farm last start. Gosford winner over 2600m earlier in the preparation so at least he will run out the trip.
SELECTIONS: No1 PARAGON, No3 Levenses, No2 Chaquinta, No4 Pyramid Prince
VALUE RUNNER: No4 Pyramid Prince
R2 2.15pm TAB MORE THAN JUST WINNING HANDICAP 1100m
TIVOLI STREET also trialled well from the Waller stable, but does have to overcome barrier (9). Hugh Bowman is on board, which is always a positive. He looks to be the main contender.
WIRNPA is drawn perfectly in barrier (1) and also trialled well. He should get a soft run behind the leaders.
STORM FORCE is the pick from those that have raced.
SELECTIONS: No4 GLENALL, No6 Tivoli Street, No7 Wirnpa, No1 Storm Force
VALUE RUNNER: No1 Storm Force
R3 2.45pm SCHWEPPES HANDICAP 1100m
SPARKLE comes from the Waterhouse and Bott yard and has James McDonald on board. She’s had four starts and can go close after a spell.
A MIST OPPORTUNITY and LONG TIME AGO trialled well and have to be in the mix.
SELECTIONS: No5 PIRAPALA, No6 Sparkle, No1 A Mist Opportunity, No3 Long Time Ago
VALUE RUNNER: No3 Long Time Ago
R4 3.15pm TAB.COM.AU HANDICAP 1200m
OVERSTEP impressive Canterbury maiden winner resuming two runs back before a gallant second here last start lumping 61kg. Can bounce back here down to 58.5kg.
SEZANNE consistent in three runs in her first preparation and did a good job to win her maiden here resuming. Still scope for improvement second-up and a winning hope again.
FANTASIZE a winner of two of her three runs before the start of this campaign. Runner-up at Gosford resuming before having no luck at Canterbury last start. Ready to win but the 61kg a concern.
SELECTIONS: No6 MATERNAL, No10 Overstep, No11 Sezanne, No1 Fantasize
VALUE RUNNER: No1 Fantasize
R5 3.45pm #THERACES HANDICAP 1550m
SNIPER (Best Roughie) was an impressive Canterbury winner four runs back before struggling next two. Showed something of a return to form last start when placed at Canterbury. Looking for the step up in distance and at least a place hope again.
DRAGON FLYER doesn't win out of turn with three wins from 34-starts but 17 placings. Has a good record at the track and distance and a must for the exotics.
GRANITE BELT was an impressive winner of successive races at Newcastle Beaumont and Wyong before struggling on the heavy track at Warwick Farm last start. Set to improve sharply on a drier surface.
SELECTIONS: No8 OUR VENTURA, No2 Sniper, No1 Dragon Flyer, No4 Granite Belt
VALUE RUNNER: No2 Sniper
R6 4.15pm MCGRATH ESTATE AGENTS HANDICAP 1200m
ROCKAFELLA was an impressive winner of first two career starts at Wyong and Canterbury. Pulled out plenty to get the money last start and nothing to suggest he won't be winning again.
TOP ME UP resumes on the back of a runner-up finish in a Rosehill trial. Pakenham winner first-up last preparation before being competitive in a couple of group races. Looks ready to go fresh.
ZIN ZAN ELSIE is an ultra-consistent mare who hasn't finished worse than fourth in nine starts to date and twice a winner. Fitter second-up and a must for the exotics from an ideal gate.
SELECTIONS: No2 TORPENHOW, No10 Rockafella, No6 Top Me Up, No7 Zin Zan Elsie
VALUE RUNNER: No11 Helensburgh Ham
R7 4.45pm TAB REWARDS HANDICAP 1100m
SUGAR BAY LEONARD impressive Gosford winner resuming two runs back then arguably didn't quite see out 1200m last start. The 1100m around Canterbury looks an ideal assignment.
SUPER MAXI switched from Melbourne to Sydney by Team Hawkes after a tough win on the Geelong synthetic resuming. The stable has a good record with this venue switch and a definite market watch here.
QUANTRILL hit the line strongly when placed this track and distance last start. Should be right at his peak at third run back from a let up and ready to win.
SELECTIONS: No6 TYPECAST, No5 Sugar Bay Leonard, No12 Super Maxi, No2 Quantrill
VALUE RUNNER: No5 Sugar Bay Leonard
