DONARCHIE likes this distance having won here on a heavy track. He found the 1200m too short when finishing seventh to Devils Pinch from a break on August 28. Noel Callow is the new jockey and commands respect on wet track form.
TEN GOALS has a superior draw in gate (7) and will carry 59.5kg again after running a close third over 1600m to Pharrell here at his last start on August 28. Appeals as a good chance.
PRIOR ENGAGEMENT is race-toughened and was a good effort to finish third to He’s The Boss over 1500m at Geelong on September 4. Hails from the top stable of trainer Darren Weir and racing well.
UNREALISTIC is a lightly raced galloper who was first-up when running seventh over 1300m at Geelong when easing from $4.60 to $6.50 on August 30. Capped his prior campaign with a win over 1600m at Bendigo.

NATURAL ACHIEVER (NEXT BEST BET) is from the leading New Zealand stables of Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young. He is a son of Savabeel who is unbeaten at his two starts at home winning over 1200m and 1400m. He was given a soft trial here and he has the in-form Mark Zahra booked to ride. The distance will suit here and the stable has already kicked off to a flying start in Victoria.

I’M TELLING YA (BEST BET) was backed into a red-hot $1.35 favourite at his second start and gave his supporters no doubt streaking away by 3 ¼ lengths to romp in his maiden at Pakenham at his last start on June 26. He is a three-year-old son of leading sire Reward For Effort and has heaps of upside with only two starts to his credit. Ran fourth at his debut down the straight 1100m at Flemington. Has heaps of speed.

KNEW IT gave NZ trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young a great start to their Victorian sojourn winning as a heavily backed $1.95 favourite in a 1206m maiden at Ballarat on September 5. Mark Zahra replaces the NZ-born jockey Michael Walker and she goes up 3kg to 57kg here against a stronger grade of horse. We do know she will handle the bog track, but the upgrade is another test.
AVENUE WHISPER was firm in the betting at $3.20 when finishing a strong third over 1300m in similar company at Bendigo on August 14. She is a graduate from the top stable of trainer Darren Weir and has the leading stable jockey Brad Rawiller to pilot. Respect.
HELL OR HIGHWATER has the blinkers going back on. She chased steadily when running third over 1400m in a stronger race at Sandown on August 31. That was her third start back from a spell and she had top jockey Damien Oliver riding her again. She was supported into $4 last time and is a strong chance.
BELLA SORELLASTRA is a three-year-old filly who will have benefitted from her first run when she had no luck before finishing a good fifth to Urban Ruler over 1300m at Sandown on August 24. She won a trial here on a Heavy 8 prior to that and rates here.
