This is going to be one tough meeting with plenty of rain forecast and the track sure to be heavy.
The temperature for the day will be a minimum on 5C and maximum on 11C so the brollies and overcoats are a necessity.
The rail will be at four metres from 1400m to 700m and at the true position for the remainder.

ROPEADOPE was allowed to dictate last start on September 21 and raced away to a four-length win over 2236m at Sale. He carries 56.kg – which is a half kilo drop - and has Jason Lyons staying on top, but he might not get a saloon passage in front again so easily.
DELIGHTFUL SON has been most consistent over the longer journeys. He worked home well to claim third place over 2200m at Pakenham at his last start on September 18. He carried 51kg that time and goes up to 55.5kg with senior jockey Dean Yendall the new rider.
KING OF ROSSA (Best Roughie) has courage in abundance and fought back to win by ¾ of a length over 2200m at Pakenham on September 14. Senior jockey Patrick Holmes replaces apprentice Michael Dee and he goes up 1.5kg to 55.5kg and must be rated a chance.

TURFONIC looms as one of the dangers in a deep race to finish this card. Will be sharply improved on first-up run when narrowly pipped on the post by Esprit Warrior over 1200m at Geelong on September 9. The in-form Damian Lane rides again and again carries 59.5kg.
I AM THE DARK might be one of the shining lights as he will love this track. He ran a strong second over 2000m at his last start at Caulfield on July 2. Daniel Moor is his new rider and he rode him in a recent trial at Cranbourne where he showed he was forward to run third over 990m.
BAROOTA is a four-year-old from the stable of Chris Waller. He won impressively by 2 ¾ lengths at his sole start over 1200m at Kembla Grange on February 2. That was on a Heavy 8, so he handles the wet and Melbourne jockey Ben Melham rides.
