R1 1.20pm PLUCK @ VINERY HANDICAP 1550m

RAISE AN ARMY had to change course in the straight and kept finding the line well here last Friday night. That was a reasonably strong field and the form lines should hold up here in the small field.

OCTAVIAN AUGUSTUS disappointed last start, but with barrier (3), he can be ridden closer to the speed and that may be enough to turn his form around.

BRING ME THE BLING might find this a touch easier and is another who could benefit from being ridden more positively. The small field will also benefit her.

CROWN HIM has to carry 61kg but has won on a soft track before and placed at the distance.

SELECTIONS: No3 RAISE AN ARMY, No2 Octavian Augustus, No4 Bring Me The Bling, No1 Crown Him.

VALUE RUNNER: No4 Bring Me The Bling.
RAISE AN ARMY - 1pt @ 3.10

R2 1.55pm TAB HANDICAP 1250m

IL MIO DESTINO (BEST ROUGHIE) will only carry 58kg with the claim to McGillivray. She was much better last start back in F&M grade and will get through the soft track.

SANAYA has run on well at both of her starts this time in and should peak here. The fresh run was in a strong race, while last week's effort was good behind all-the-way winner Diddums. She’s drawn nicely in barrier (6).

DAGNY is drawn perfectly in barrier (2) and looks like one of the leading chances. She impressed last start with a comfortable win and will relish the 1250m.

PEPPERBERRY is drawn in barrier (4) and has never finished outside the top two when running over the distance. She’s also placed at her only run at the track.

SELECTIONS: No2 IL MIO DESTINO, No7 Sanaya, No5 Dagny, No4 Pepperberry.

VALUE RUNNER: No2 IL Mio Destino.
IL MIO DESTINO - 1pt @ 9.00

R3 2.30pm SCHWEPPES PLATE 1200m

ZUMBELINA (BEST BET) was super impressive on debut when flashing home and finishing second. She has trialled since and did everything right on that occasion. The soft track will not bother her and she’s drawn perfectly. The filly by Stratum should be winning this.

SELECTIONS: No9 ZUMBELINA, No4 Winch, No2 Samar More, No7 Moccasin Miss.

VALUE RUNNER: No2 Samar More.
ZUMBELINA - 1pt @ 1.90

R4 3.05pm TAB.COM.AU HANDICAP 1250m

KANDINSKY was nominated for a much harder assignment on Saturday, but connections have chosen the easier option and it looks to be a winning option. This well-bred four-year-old should take plenty of improvement from that first-up performance at the track and distance.

CHOICE LARGA is much better than the form guide suggests from last performance. He didn’t handle the heavy track and will prefer this surface and dropping back in distance.

NEVER BACK DOWN runs with only 53.5kg and could provide some value in this race. Connections will be hoping that the fine conditions dry out the track, which would make him more suited.

QUANTRILL is drawn perfectly in barrier (1) and can race on the speed which suited him last start when winning at Warwick Farm.

SELECTIONS: No2 KANDINSKY, No3 Choice Larga, No7 Never Back Down, No5 Quantrill.

VALUE RUNNER: No7 Never Back Down.
KANDINSKY - 1pt @ 3.00

R5 3.40pm #THERACES HANDICAP 2700m

LOW PLACES had no luck last start when sitting out wide, but he did attack the line well. He carries the 59kg again and although the 2700m is a question mark, he can definitely feature in this race.

DOC HOLLIDAY looks to be the logical leader in this race, but again the question is: can he stay 2700m?

CENTEROFATTENTION raced over 2400m and is one of the gallopers we know can stay. She should get a lovely run from barrier (5).

ALLZIN was well-backed last start but didn’t offer much. Connections must have an opinion of him, so willing to give him another chance.

SELECTIONS: No1 LOW PLACES, No2 Doc Holliday, No5 Centerofattention, No6 Allzin.

VALUE RUNNER: No5 Centerofattention.
LOW PLACES - 1pt @ 5.50

R6 4.20pm RANVET’S POWER FORMULA HANDICAP 1900m

BERETTA didn't stay last start over the 1900m, but the blinkers off may see him relax and run it out stronger. A performance similar to his victory two starts ago will see him be hard to beat.

ZOURKHAN wasn’t suited last start, but looks to get the ideal run in this race and will appreciate the soft track.

MONTAUK has a bit of class and has attacked the line well in his last two starts. The 1900m is the only question mark for the gelding by More Than Ready.

LINDWALL carries only 54kg and drops back to the 1900m. Fitness will be no issue.

SELECTIONS: No1 BERETTA, No4 Zourkhan, No3 Montauk, No7 Lindwall.

VALUE RUNNER: No1 Beretta.
BERETTA - 1pt @ 7.00

R7 5.00pm TAB REWARDS HANDICAP 1550m

LIAPARI looks another of the strong chances on the card. He hit the line strongly last start and the extra 150m should suit him perfectly.

BELLA GALEANO is the stablemate of our on top selection and should also appreciate the extra distance here.

DUBAWI DREAM only needs to run like he did last start to be prominent in the finish.

DEPENDABLE has had five runs this prep and hasn’t finished any worse than third. This looks another suitable option for the in-form four-year-old.

SELECTIONS: No2 LIAPARI, No5 Bella Galeano, No1 Dubawi Dream, No3 Dependable.

VALUE RUNNER: No5 Bella Galeano.
LIAPARI - 1pt @ 0.00

R8 5.40pm MCGRATH ESTATE AGENTS HANDICAP 1100m

CANNOT BE SERIOS (NEXT BEST BET) lived up to his strong trial when winning impressively on debut. The soft track should be no issue since coming from New Zealand and he looks to have too much class for this field.

SELECTIONS: No7 CANNOT BE SERIOS, No5 Sugar Bay Leonard, No1 Helensburgh Ham, No2 Know How.

VALUE RUNNER: No8 Last Card Joe.
CANNOT BE SERIOS - 1pt @ 3.60
