KING OF ENGLAND (NEXT BEST BET) is an English import who is now primed for this race with two solid runs over 1600m under his belt. He was well-schooled in trials before making his Australian debut at Caulfield where he ran a credible eighth on October 12. He then was deep and steamed home to run fourth at Bendigo on October 26. Premier jockey Craig Williams keeps the ride and he does not meet strong opposition here.
SELECTIONS: No3 KING OF ENGLAND, No4 Palmera Lad, No9 Thunder Connection, No10 My Naughty Hoaks.

ROMAN FIZZ gave an encouraging first up effort when he chased hard but his run peaked, finishing a close second over 1200m here on October 27. He has drawn gate (3) here and Matthew Allen will ride him at 57.5kg.
CORCOVADO gets a nice drop in weight down from 57kg to 54kg with the claim of apprentice Jack Martin. He gave a solid fighting effort to run third over 1200m at Cranbourne at his last start on October 25. That run was off a long spell.
STRIDE OUT was at the luxury odds of $21 first up when he closed well to land a one length win over 1000m at Mornington on October 30. Brian Werner stays on top but he goes up two kilos to 58.5kg for the effort.
AZ GIVEN is a very honest mare who resumes here on her last start sixth over 2000m at Flemington on August 6. Expect her to be flashing home late and is worth an each-way bet.
SELECTIONS: No6 ROMAN FIZZ, No9 Corcovado, No5 Stride Out, No1 Az Given.

REWARDING EFFORT was warmed up for his first-up assault with an 800m trial at Cranbourne on September 19. He cruised home to win the 800m hit out on a Heavy 8 track. He strikes a good surface here and is hard to beat.
EMOJI has a quick back up here after running a ¾ length second over 1450m at Kyneton on November 2. Has been most reliable throughout this preparation and gets a change of rider, with Noel Callow the new pillion.
KERAUNO should be given another chance and would draw a line through his last start when finishing ninth on a Heavy 9 at Sale on October 23. He will be on top of the ground here and would go on his previous smart win at this track.
I BOUGHT A HORSE has been placed at all of his three starts this campaign. Latest he ran third over 1200m here on October 27. Daniel Stackhouse replaces Jamie Mott here and has claims again.
SELECTIONS: No6 REWARDING EFFORT, No2 Emoji, No3 Kerauno, No4 I Bought A Horse.

ALL THAT I KNOW has the blinkers removed after he raced far too keenly in them first up when finishing third over 1400m here on October 20. Chris Parnham is the new rider and he goes up a half kilo to 60.5kg.
DIVINELY MAGIC has plenty of upside with two starts for a win and a fourth. She ran a great fourth here over 1200m against her own sex on October 27 at her last start. With Jack Martin’s claim, she carries 57.5kg here.
SUGAR MUMMY was at long odds of $41 first up when she ran third to the in-form Emoji over 1400m here on October 17. Noel Callow is the new rider and would respect here.
MAWHOOBA was well fancied when she posted an easy win over 1400m on a rain-affected track at Sale on October 23. Jake Noonan is the new rider and she goes up 1.5kg to 57.5kg against her own sex here.
SELECTIONS: No1 ALL THAT I KNOW, No4 Divinely Magic, No8 Sugar Mummy, No9 Mawhooba.

FIRE AGATE (BEST BET) can put paid to his opposition now with two strong placings under his belt. He claimed his first win at his debut at Geelong last campaign and bumped into a tough competitor against Seattle Boom when running a close second over 1100m at Bendigo on October 26. He is perfectly drawn in gate (2) to win again. Jamie Mott stays on board at 60kg, which is a half kilo more than he carried last start.
SELECTIONS: No1 FIRE AGATE, No6 Adalita, No4 Silence A Crown, No3 Reward The Dream.
